Home description
Casa Laura is a fantastic property where you can experience true Tuscan style as it makes full use of the traditional Italian architecture with chestnut wooden beams, cotta floors and stone work. Another classical feature are the sloping rooves and arches in the ceilings.
The property has a good-sized raised outside terrace with a real pizza oven which can be used for pizza baking and barbeques. There is a fantastic open plan kitchen / diner which is perfect for eating in as you attempt to recreate some Tuscan cuisine. With bright spacious bedrooms you will feel as though you are in your home away from home.
Set off a small, typical narrow lane and within walking distance to the local village the property is in an ideal location if you want to get away from city living and enjoy the culture and setting of Tuscan life. Casa Laura is also ideally placed for visiting many of the other Tuscan cities to indulge in the ancient history.

The Tuscany region
Tuscany is a land of full of charm and beauty. Its gorgeous coastline, its medieval villages, its olive groves and vineyards, its huge art treasures, its famous food and wines, its beautiful contryside, its enviable culture and way of life, its expressive language and its famous Tuscan climate, draw visitors from all over the world.
It is an area famous for the cities within it including Florence, Siena and Pisa. Designer fashion labels have also put Tuscany on the map producing some of the most loved - Gucci, Prada and Cavalli.
Whatever you want from your holiday you will be able to find it in Tuscany and you truly will be in world of your own!
Lunigiana / Tresana area
A great base for Lunigiana, the Cinque Terre and the Versilian coast, Casa Laura can be reached in less than 25 minutes from the A15 Motorway and is ideally situated for touring and walking. A short walk of about 1/2ml takes you to the village centre with post office, coffee bar, pizzeria, general store and restaurant.
An ancient territory that has been a well kept Tuscan gem. It is rich in mediaeval history through its many castles, Romanesque churches and ancient hilltop hamlets. Bounded by the Mediterranean Sea, the Apuane Alps and the Appenine Mountains, Lunigiana is a land lost in time. Its geographical location and turbulent history have combined to create a unique landscape, one that, even to this day, remains preserved and intact from over-development.
Lunigiana remains virtually untouched by the rampant urbanisation and industrialisation that plague many areas of outstanding natural beauty in other countries. It has a uniquely rural character where life moves at a traditional pace yet it is easy to reach from the international airports at Pisa, Genoa, Parma and Milan.
It is an area home to magnificent Mediterranean beaches, you can partake in various sporting activities, go for walks around the local landscape or top up your cultural knowladge. Some key places of interest would be the marble quaries, Fosdinovo adventure park, museums and at certain times of the year there are some fantastic festivals.
The property is just 10 mins drive from shops, restaurants and train station and only 20 minutes drive from the motorway. The beautiful seaside resorts of the Versilian Riviera are just a short car ride away as well as the famous "Cinque Terre" coastal villages. The Renaissance cities of Florence, Lucca and Pisa are also within easy distance and can be reached by train - a very relaxing and scenic option.
How to get there
Lunigiana is well served by low cost airlines which fly in to 3 airports that are all about an hour away - Pisa, Parma and Genoa.
