Hidden in a olive grove, on the hills of Lunigiana, Villa gli Olivi offers a quiet place for those who are looking for a relaxing place where everybody can discover the pace rythm of nature and of ancient times. The apartment, well furnished and well refined, with its wide spaces, lets you enjoy your holiday in the unspoilt nature, close to the ancient church called “Pieve di Codiponte” and to the village of Codiponte. At the same time you will be far away from the noise, from pollution and from crowded places.

Just out of the door, in the olive grove, you can meditate, read a book, get sun-tanned or sleep in the shade lying down on the comfortable deck chairs available for our guests. You can also hike or bike on the tracks of the Regional Park of the Apuan Alps.

You can forget all parking problems and, in a few minutes you can reach by car all the main villages of Lunigiana. You can also enjoy the pleasure of discovering little villages, mountain lakes, marble quarries, natural caves and a lot of secret treasures far from beaten tracks unknown to the mass and carefully preserved from the native people like jewels in a safe box.

The Tuscany region

Lunigiana is the least famous part of Tuscany. Its strength is to be still far away from the main touristic tracks.
If you get in Lunigiana, you walk back in the past times. Driving in the country you can discover lots of medieval villages, ancient churchs, manors and prehistoric traces everywhere.In this area you will be able to discover the slow way of the the ancient life.

The area is dominated by the amazing mountains (Apuan Alps) and there are a lot of caves, little rivers and mountain lakes. Regional and National Parks are all around in the area.

Driving half an hour you can reach the beaches of Versilia or the coast of 5 Terre. Driving half an hour you can get on mountains 1.800 meters high.

Lunigiana / Casola area

Places to visit: Equi Terme (Spa);Fivizzano;Pontremoli; Aulla; Lucca; Lerici, Portovenere; 5Terre; Versilia.

Natural Parks to visit: Regional Park of Apuan Alps (The village of Codiponte belongs to this park); National Park of Appennino; 5 Terre National Park.

In the summer in all the villages there are special medieval nights.

How to get there

MOTORWAY (A 18) Parma— La Spezia Exit AULLA — Look for STRADA STATALE (SS. 63) for Pallerone and Fivizzano and follow the main road.
AFTER 11 km TURN RIGHT for: STRADA STATALE DELLA GARFAGNANA (SS. 445) FOR: Gassano / Equi Terme /Gragnola / Casola / Passo dei Carpinelli.
Follow the main road and DO NOT TURN ON THE RIGHT FOR : Gragnola / Monzone / Equi Terme e Castello dell’Aquila.
Follow the main road on the left for : Casola / Passo dei Carpinelli.
After 2,7 km, you will reach Codiponte. Along the road you will find (on your right) the Church “ la Pieve di Codiponte” Take the first on your left and follow the left one going up. After 100 meters you will see Villa Gli Olivi.

Aulla 18 km; La Spezia 35 km; 5 Terre 40 km; Versilia 40 km; SEA 30 km.
