Tourists are drawn every year by these beautiful images they see in glossy magazines, travel guides and through film and television. Lunigiana offers a truly unspoilt corner of Tuscany and an inspired destination for the Italian traveller. The most Northern tip which borders the colourful Gulf of the Poets. The nearby Versilia coast overflows with sea side charm and is within easy reach the impressive city of Lucca, rich with Italian architecture and culture. In order to really understand Tuscany it is essential to experience its many contrasts and only then will you discover its true spirit. Magazine November 2007: RUSTIC TUSCANY 'Last year we were encouraged by friends to visit Tuscany, but only having travelled in southern Italy didn’t know how to choose an area in this very different landscape. Our friends recommended a company to us called Toscana Rustica, so we got in touch and it was the best thing we could have done. The company manages a selection of properties in Lunigiana, a beautiful area just north of La Spezia. Properties offer amazing facilities, including concierge services, and advice is offered on flights, car hire, travelling in the area, special events like weddings – almost anything you want to know. We ended up staying in a beautiful house, with a pool, called ‘I Tre Olivi’. We had such an amazing time in the area, we’ve booked up again for next year and will be going with our friends!
