Great Location and lots of character. This 18th Century Georgian Holiday Apartment (C1750) is part of a former Coaching Inn “The Old Star and Garter”. It is available for weekly and part week lets (subject to availability).

Located right in the heart of Ludlows Old Town, two minutes walk from The Church, Buttercross, High street and transport links. A little further is the Castle, Market and the River - the ideal location. Benefiting from the convenience of private off road parking, many of our guests give the car a rest, you can stroll around the town - relax, unwind, slow down. Maybe bring back something nice to eat in or book a table and indulge yourself in what must be the U.K.'s highest concentration of quality affordable dining. No Taxis required!

Tastefully furnished to reflect the period features but with modern facilities and appliances. The apartment is clean, fresh, and decorated to a very high standard. Many of our guests comment that the accommodation is “full of character” from the solid oak flooring in the lounge to the exposed stone walling in the Master Bedroom. Not perhaps your average holiday let - we think it's a bit special and so do many of our guests.

Outside: The outlook from the front or from the rear of the property is captivating, “Old England” at it's best. From the Lounge and Kitchen is Corve Street, bustling but not busy. From the Bedrooms you overlook the former stabling area, now a private and very quiet Mews with pleasant gardens and outdoor seating.

About Shropshire

"Where trumpets rang and men marched by, none passes but the dragonfly" - Mary Webb

Shropshire, maybe one of England's quiet counties but don't be deceived; there's still plenty to see and do. Shropshire has over 90 places to visit - historic houses and castles with beautiful gardens, the famous Ironbridge, museums and family attractions.

Shropshire has many traditional market towns including gourmet Ludlow and the county town of Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury almost surrounded by the River Severn and birthplace of Charles Darwin, is a medieval delight of black and white buildings.

Unspoilt, unrushed and tranquil. The Shropshire landscape reflects the fact that Shropshire is geologically unique and creates the special habitats that ensures that Shropshire wildlife is so diverse. All this adds up to making Shropshire great walking country.

So whether you're out and about on Shropshire Hills, by the Meres and Mosses or strolling along with the Shropshire Union and Llangollen Canals you can guarantee the Shropshire air will rejuvenate and restore you.

Within a few minutes walk of138B there is so much to see and do. •Pubs, some with live entertainment, •'Gastropubs' serving affordable quality food, •Restaurants (2 x Michelin < 2 Min = wow!), •Ludlow brewery - (tours + entertainment + beer), •Historic Church of St Laurence, •Start of local town trails/walks, •Artisan Bakers (courses available), •Interesting local shops, •Railway Station, •Extensive views over Shropshire •Supermarkets

Close to 138B (10 mins or so), •Ludlow Golf Club and the Racecourse, •Peaceful riverside walks, •Trails over hills and through forests, •We know Ludlow and are glad to offer advice & 'topical tips' in our welcome letter.
