Corveside is our renovated listed cottage in Ludlow, and it has achieved 4 Star and Gold Award ratings from Shropshire Tourism. The town is well known for its restaurants, many festivals and fairs, as well as the beautiful countryside which surrounds it.

Located in a quiet mews, the property is convenient for the station, the many restaurants and the shops. Unusually for Ludlow, it has parking and even a garage if you wish to bring your own bikes. There is also free Wi-Fi access at the cottage.

Corveside is reached by a private driveway set well back from the street. Outside the cottage there is a small communal garden and a bench for relaxing on warmer days.

The comfortably furnished sitting room has a flat screen TV with a built in DVD player and a good supply of DVDs and CDs for your enjoyment. There is a good collection of books, both novels and guide books, on the locality and a chess set, Scrabble, playing cards and jigsaws.

The well appointed kitchen/diner has an electric cooker, microwave, large fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer. There is also a collection of cookery books to delve into if you feel you want a change from the eating places of Ludlow and the surrounding area.

Upstairs in the main bedroom is a king sized bed with good quality linen, Microfibre duvet and cosy throws. There is a cupboard and plenty of storage too. The second bedroom is a good sized single. Again the bedding is of good quality and there is plenty of storage. Both bedrooms have a choice of pillows and extra blankets for cooler nights. Hair dryers are provided.

The updated bathroom has a shower cubicle, but no bath. Toiletries are supplied.

The bathroom has a heated towel rail and the other rooms have efficient electric heaters.

This well equipped cottage sleeps three and is available for guests wishing to visit Ludlow for short or longer breaks through most of the year. Unfortunately Corveside is not suitable for children or the disabled and we regret that we do not allow pets or smoking on the premises.

The Heart of England/Peak District

There is so much to see in this part of the country. Shrewsbury, which is Shropshire's County Town, has many ancient buildings as well as a castle and an abbey.

Visit Hereford, an hour's drive to the south, to see the cathedral which houses the Mappa Mundi and a chained library.

All within easy driving distance are Bridgnorh, Ironbridge and the many castles built by the Norman Marcher lords on the English/Welsh border.

Acton Scott, which featured on The Victorian Farm series, lies only a few miles away.

For those who enjoy walking, there are the Long Mynd, Caer Caradoc, the Stiperstones and Wenlock Edge.

In the words of Jeremy Paxman,

"Can there be a visitor to Ludlow who hasn't wished they lived there?"

Ludlow has so much to offer. The castle has stood since Norman times and Ludlow has more than five hundred listed buildings. St.Laurences, one of the largest parish churches in the country, has a very fine east window and much more of interest.

Spend time wandering around and visiting the numerous small independant shops. Stop in at one of the tea rooms or coffee shops and enjoy the slower pace of life that Ludlow has to offer.

Well known as a "foodie" town there is so much choice if you choose to eat out as well as food festivals and a thriving market.
