House | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 2
This charming two storey mews cottage, which has been awarded four star status by Shropshire Tourism, is conveniently located right in the middle of Ludlow town centre; it is ideally suited for couples looking for a quintessentially English break with a passion for great food and the countryside. There are more Michelin starred restaurants within walking distance per square mile than anywhere else in the country!
The cottage has been comfortably refurbished throughout and comprises a living room with dining and well-equipped kitchen area, double bedroom and bathroom. The living room benefits from oak flooring and is comfortably furnished with a two seater leather sofabed, oak dining table and leather chairs, an occasional chair and TV with DVD player. Freeview TV, WiFi internet and an Ipod sound dock is also available.
The well equipped kitchen features a four ring gas hob with electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, plus a range of pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glasses.
The spacious bathroom has a bath with electric shower over and heated towel rail.
In addition there is an exclusive sitting-out area within the parking courtyard for guests which features a chimenea BBQ. A dedicated car parking space makes this property particularly desireable, as there is a shortage of on-street parking in Ludlow town centre.

The Heart of England/Peak District
Shropshire, maybe one of England's quiet counties but don't be deceived; there's still plenty to see and do. Shropshire has over 90 places to visit - historic houses and castles with beautiful gardens, the famous Ironbridge, museums and family attractions.
Shropshire has many traditional market towns including gourmet Ludlow and the county town of Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury almost surrounded by the River Severn and birthplace of Charles Darwin, is a medieval delight of black and white buildings.
The Shropshire landscape reflects the fact that Shropshire is geologically unique and creates the special habitats that ensures that Shropshire wildlife is so diverse. All this adds up to making Shropshire great walking country.
So whether you're out and about on Shropshire Hills, by the Meres and Mosses or strolling along with the Shropshire Union and Llangollen Canals you can guarantee the Shropshire air will rejuvenate and restore you.
Ludlow is a thriving market town - an architectural gem with a lively community feel, Ludlow bustles with events and festivals throughout the year.
Perched on a cliff above the River Teme, Ludlow is surrounded by the unspoilt and beautiful hilly countryside of south Shropshire and the Welsh border country, known as the Welsh Marches. Excellent walking and cycling opportunities are right on our doorstep.
In recent years, Ludlow and the surrounding area has acquired an excellent reputation for the quality of its food and drink. Some of the best restaurants in Britain can be found here, encouraged by the areas abundance of quality food and drink producers. Every September, the showcase for this is the Ludlow Food and Drink Festival, when the town is filled with food lovers from all over the UK, and beyond.
Ludlow town centre's layout and architecture is evidence of the 900 year old Norman planned towns history. The town came to existence when Ludlow Castle was started in 1086 and the medieval town walls were built shortly after. Ludlow has over 450 listed buildings, with over 650 in South Shropshire. Grade I listed buildings in Ludlow include Ludlow Castle, St. Laurence's Church and The Feathers Hotel.

We were looking for a last-minute break and found this self-catering unit in Ludlow. We chose it because it was central to all the action but came with parking, which can be difficult in Ludlow's tiny streets. It proved a great choice: small but perfectly formed.
