200 year old Cherry Tree Cottage is situated in West Penwith in the tranquil and quintessentially Cornish village of Ludgvan Church Town. It enjoys spectacular views of St Michael's Mount and Mounts Bay via the Pilgrims'Way from an elevated position in an area of outstanding beauty.It is surrounded by daffodil fields and vegetable growing and is a haven for ramblers, botanists , ornithologists, wild life enthusiasts, beach combers and artists.

The cottage has been exquisitely and sympathetically renovated to a very high standard with an original granite fire place with a wood burning stove with oak floors and wooden beams throughout. A spiral staircase leads to a large double bedroom and en suite bathroom with a large bath and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for the keen chef!

At the back of the property is a spacious conseravatory which has a large oak dining table and chairs. It overlooks and leads on to an intimate secluded, mature sub tropical garden with banana and palms and is a perfect sun trap.

The cottage is equipped with a large flat screened T V and video player

30 yards from the front door is the 14th century church and the charming 16th century White Hart Inn which offers excellent food and a wide variety of local beers and wines in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and garden.

It enjoys a mild climate in winter with sunny blue skies in spring and summer.

The amazing light of nearby St Ives has been an inspiration to artists over the years. Now there is The New Tate and the Barbara Hepworth Museum to visit and enjoy

St Michael's Mount which is 1 mile from the property , is the jewel in Cornwall's crown. it is the most famous of Cornwall's landmarks, has a fascinating history, is steeped in legend and folklore,has stunning panoramic views across Mount's Bay to Land's End and the Lizard. The Mount is a complete day out, with quite literally something for everyone

For garden lovers there is Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens a 15 minute walk away. It is one of the most exciting new gardens in the country and a major attraction in West Cornwall overlooking views of the bay. It also has a modern cafe and restaurant and a craft and design shop bringing you something a little different. There is aslso a Farmer's Market on the 2nd Sunday of every month


There are numerous beaches and coves all along the coast from Land's End to the Lizard and Cape Cornwall and the rugged North coast are all close by.

Newlyn fishing port which is 4 miles away has fresh locally caught fish every day excluding Sunday

Mousehole a mile on is famous for its Sarry Gazey Pie as well as a very pretty harbour

Nearby Penzance has a newly refurbished cinema, theatre, local craft shops, cafes,restaurants, leisure centre, and the Exchange Gallery[well worth a visit]

The Jubilee open air swimming pool is a major attraction. It was built in the 30's and is a sea water pool

"Characterful cottage, nice atmosphere"
