This spacious and well equipped family house is in a very peaceful location and is superbly positioned for Winter Sports and Summer Walking. How to get there
FLY: Zurich Airport is closest ... Basel and Berne are also convenient
DRIVE: A little over an hour’s drive from Zurich. Follow motorway direction Luzern, THEN direction Gothard and follow signs for (Stans Sud) Engelbergerthal-Engelberg (Chains or 4X4 are required in the Winter.)
TRAIN: There are regular trains from Zurich Airport, Basel and Berne to Engelberg. “Intercity” train to Luzern then onto the delightful mountain train that takes you up the Engelberg valley.
DIRECTIONS FROM ENGELBERG TO MAIGLÜCK:
Only one road into town... follow that until you hit a sharp right hand turn, the Monastery is now on your left... past the monastery - hold on left - you pass the Klostermatte (Beginners Ski Area) - then you cross a small Bridge and go straight ahead into Schweizerhausstrasse left of Restaurant Heimat - after 300m to the right - Schweizerhausstrasse 26 / Maiglück

On the ground floor, there is a very spacious Living Room with spectacular views towards the Titlis and the Hahnen, TV/Stereo/Radio, a modern and fully equipped Kitchen which includes fridge, dishwasher, electric stove and oven, a Bathroom / Shower and a balcony. The lower ground floor comprises 2 Twin Bedrooms with a Shower and Toilet and the laundry / washer drier. The top floor has a Double Bedroom with lovely views of the Titlis and a Twin Bedroom (Bunk bed) ideal for children, a Bathroom / Shower and a very useful Office / Reading Room.

There is a charge of 25 CHF per person per stay for Towels and Bedlinen. There is also a charge of 150CHF for Cleaning. Local Tax is 3.20CHF per person per day (12 years and over)

We have enjoyed our stay in Maiglück very much. Our children and grandchildren all enjoyed the lovely facilities and you lovely chalet proved to be a great base for seeing parts of Switzerland we had never visited before. We have had an excellent week at Maiglück. The house is very comfortable and well equipped which made our stay more enjoyable. We went up Titlis and would recommend this to anyone. The boys enjoyed the cable car rides and loved the glacier park at the top (at 10.000 feet!). We also enjoyed the “Tickle Trail” on Brunni and would again encourage people to do this.
