Home description
Our large four double bedroom house is situated in the mountains of Northern Slovenia in a beautiful village with outdoor activities and a wide variety of amenities in close proximity. The house is a perfect holiday destination for families wanting to experience some fresh air, stunning scenery and a chance to sample a wonderful part of Slovenia. In the winter there are excellent ski resorts near by. In the Summer there is fishing, golf, spas, walking, canoeing and much more!
The house is very spacious with a modern eat in kitchen, huge sitting room with dining and pool table and another large sitting room/ fith bedroom with an authentic slovene wood heater.

The Koroska region
- Beautiful area situated in the mountains, with several nearby ski resorts - Logarska Dolina, one of the most beautiful national parks in Slovenia, is 10k from Luce - The winter months are generally snowy with the spring and summer months generally very sunny and temperatures getting into the early to mid 30s
Luce area
- The house is in the beautiful village of Luce, close to the stunning Logarska Dolina national park, a perfect place for mountain biking, hiking and picnics - Within the village, there is a good sized shop, several bars and restaurants. Of particular note is the award winning Pension Raduha, which offers fantastic food. - Nearby attractions include three ski resorts - the closest being just 20 mins drive, golf, fishing on the river that runs through Luce, white water rafting, canoeing, ski-jumping for the more courageous, horse-riding and several natural attractions. - There are also two spas within 45 minutes drive which offer very reasonably priced treatments. - Ljubljana is just over 60 mins from the house with the lovely Lake Bled 2 hours away. - The surrounding area is full of meadows, forests and rivers giving superb walks for all, whether it be for half an hour or a full day.
How to get there
- Frequent flights go to two main airports which are about 80 minutes away from Ljubi Dom. Ryanair also flies to Graz in Austria which is about 100 minutes from Ljubi Dom. The distances from Luce are highlighted in brackets:
- Easyjet: Stansted to Ljubljana Airport (68kms south of Luce)
- Adria Airlines: London Gatwick to Ljubljana Airport
- Ryanair: Stansted to Klagenfurt, Austria (75kms north of Luce). Please note that the border pass at Eisenkappel is only open between April and October.
- Car hire is available at all these airports with several companies including Hertz, Avis, Europcar and Economy Car Rentals.
