This comfortable, airy and spacious cottage is a real home from home, created by the owners so they can enjoy holidays here too….a perfect place to relax, yet conveniently located for exploring.. Whilst there are now all modern amenities, the owers have been careful to retain the character and rustic charm of the house, and there are beamed ceilings, traditional flooring and original windows with internal shutters throughout. Situated on the Sunny side of the valley this is a perfect spot for relaxing in the late afternoon, and dining outside watching the sun go down. There are two terraces for relaxing in the sunshine, or shade, and the mature garden with its shrubs, flowers and olive trees emanates Tuscany….For days when a cool off is required, or just for sitting in with a glass of wine, there is the small out of ground pool, great for those weary feet after a day out sightseeing. For cooler evenings there is a large living/diner, with plenty of comfortable seating and a fireplace. Cooking at home is a breeze with the well equipped, hand made kitchen…

The Tuscany region
Tuscany is well known for its natural beauty, delicious food and good quality wines. The historic and culturally rich cities of Lucca and Florence are within easy reach for a day trip and closer to home we have Barga with its unspoiled streets and squares full of great charm and its 13th century Cathedral.
A trip to the coast takes you through breathtaking scenery and the quarries from which Michelangelo sourced the marble for his famous works of art. Viareggio is a popular seaside resort adjacent to Torre del Lago where Puccini lived and worked in his final years.
Lucca / Ponte a Moriano area
Situated high up a hill, overlooking the Serchio Valley and River, this house has wonderful views, and a great sense of peace, yet is situated only a 20 minute drive from the historic centre of Lucca; 40 minutes from Pisa and 40 minutes from the beach…. Ideal then for exploring Lucca, The Garfagnana, The Coast, Pisa, Florence…. The property itself is surrounded by typical Lucchese countryside Vineyards, and terraced Olive Groves, and is situated just a 10 minute walk from a restaurant with beautiful al fresco dining facilities… There is a basic shop/bar/bread etc a 2.5km drive away, and the property is only a 10 minute drive from a hypermarket for the weekly shop. A peaceful yet handy retreat!

Ground floor shower room is also reached from hallway Up original stone staircase to: 2 double bedrooms 1 room with large bunk beds Family bathroom with bath, separate shower, double sink.
