Lucca area
If you haven't visited the Lucca area, you will find it to be a pleasant surprise. There is biking and walking on the road at the top of the Renaissance wall that surrounds the city. There are classical music and Puccini concerts in the church of San Giovanni Battista (around the corner from the Cathedral of San Martino) , every evening , featuring works of Mozart, Puccini, Verdi and other Italian composers (All of this, because it is the birthplace of opera composer, Giacomo Puccini).
July brings the Lucca music festival with the famous stars such as Sheryl Crow, Alisha Keyes, Nora Jones, Elton John, to name a few, and of course, more Puccini opera amphitheatre.
