The apartment is situated at the first floor of a nice palazzo and it has recently been restored with taste and elegance. It maintained most of its original features, such us cotto floors, and the beamed ceilings, combined with every modern facilities.

Moving north-west in the panhandle which divides Tuscany from Liguria, the charming town of Lucca, with its XVI century intact city walls, and Pisa with the astonishing leaning tower, or Volterra, famous Etruscan town, are a must. The cost line of Tuscany stretches for 250 Km and includes some of the most beautiful beaches of the world. Lucca area
Preserved by its marvellous ring of walls, built for the first time by the Roman, and then enlarged in the middle- age and during the Renaissance, Lucca is undoubtedly one of Tuscany’s most beautiful town.
It lies in a plan surrounded by sweet green hills covered in olive trees and vineyards; its characteristic centre is something to explore on foot or by bike thanks to its flat narrow lanes!
2000 years of history will catch your eyes walking around Lucca’s squares and streets. It is home to splendid Romanesque churches, museums, monuments, and birth place of Giacomo Puccini (1858) one of Italy most famous composer.
The marvellous square, now known as Piazza dell’anfiteatro (amphitheatre), maintains the old II century shape and offers a spectacular architecture of houses built in the 19th century by the local architect Lorenzo Nottolini. Underneath its antique veil Lucca is a lively, dynamic town, sprinkled with cafès , restaurants and shopping areas set amongst its majestic palaces
During the summer Lucca welcomes some of the most famous singers of the world for the “Summer Festival”’s concerts, held in the major squares of the town.
While in the brand new open air theatre on the Massaciuccoli lake, in Torre del Lago Puccini, 20 km from Lucca city centre, right in front of the villa where Puccini wrote some of its best pieces, the Puccini festival takes place. From june till august, the composer’s most popular operas are performed in a spectacular scenario .. For the entire month of September, the town celebrates the “Volto Santo”, the holy face, a marvellous cross kept in the cathedral “Saint Martin”, Is this a very special time to come and visit, as Lucca shows its best side!
Going out of the city, the splendid hills and country side of Lucca are perfect for those who are seeking peace and rest. Wonderful old farm houses and historical villas , wisely restored and adapted for nowadays needs, will welcome you, your family and friends, during your vacations!
Amusements are endless; Trekking, bicycling, horse riding and every kind of entertainments are possible. The lovely sandy beaches of the Versilia cost line, are only 20 mins away, famous for the beautiful “Bagni” (bathing establishments), and the sparkling night life!
Enjoy a glass of the local wines, “delle colline Lucchesi” (Lucchese hills), rosso (red) made from Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Cilegiolo, Colourino grapes, and a dry delicate bianco (white) made from Trebbiano, Greco, Grenchetto, Vermentino and Malvasia grapes.
Along with some of Lucca’s specialities like Tortelli, zuppa alla frantoiana or zuppa di farro, dressed with the delicious olive oil produced on the surrounding hills (extra vergine), one the best olive oil in the world!
How to get there
The nearest airport is PISA Galileo Galilei.
From here you can rent a car then drive to Lucca by taking the highway A12 GENOVA/ROSIGNANO, then the A11FIRENZE/MARE. take the exit Lucca Est.
Whether you were not willing to drive, you can take one of the train that leaves right from the airport and takes you in the centre of the town.

Further details outdoors: The apartment is located in one of the major streets of Lucca, sprinkled with shops, nice cafès and restaurants. Few mt from the apartment a internet point and a bus station where shuttles for Firenze, Pisa, and any other Tuscan cities, including the Versilia coast, leave all day long. For those who would love to experience Lucca by bike, a bike rental is available.

A deposit of 30% of the property rentals must be paid.
No contract with us will exist until we have received this amount and the booking form duly signed and return.
The balance of the payment must be paid at least eight weeks before departure. If the balance is not received by us by the due date, we shall be entitled to cancel the booking without prejudice to our claim for the cancellation charges, and do retain the deposit.
Clients must communicate to us their arrival time and departure in written, at least a week before the departure.
A security deposit is payable upon arrival to the keyholder in cash or with traveller’s checks (dully filled and signed). This is to cover the cost of any damage or breakages during your stay to the property. This amount, less any applicable claims, will be returned to you on the day of departure.
