The apartment is composed of a great room, with living, dining and kitchen areas, two bedrooms (both with queen size beds), and two full bathrooms.
All of the rooms overlook the piazza and face south, which means they are bright and sunny, yet the thick walls keep things cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
The furnishings are a mixture of modern and antiques. The designers include Florence Knoll, Saarinen, Jacobsen, and Buonaccorsi. The living room chandelier comes from Murano as does the Venini lamp in the hallway.

There are also ceiling fans in both bedrooms. The south facing wall is filled with frescos from the 1700s. The ceilings in all the rooms are approximately sixteen feel high. The finishes are luxurious.
The design kitchen was includes a full size refrigerator, washer/dryer, dishwasher and stove and oven, the later two items were designed by Renzo Piano, while the remaining appliances are mostly high end Smeg.
The floors in the public areas are terrazzo from Venice. The bathrooms are covered from head to toe in tiny, Murano glass tiles. The guest bath has an arched ceiling; the master bath has a glass ceiling. The bedroom floors are teak and lovely.
There is also a large, Sony flat screen TV, a Philips CD player and Phillips DVD player. Wireless internet connection will be installed in Spring, 2008.
To book the property a non refundable deposit of 30% ot the total amount is required, which can be paid by wire.

You will be in the heart of Tuscany, close to the sea, and ideal for any day trip to visit the arts town as Florence, Siena. Cinque Terre is also not far, and can be easily reached within a 2 hours drive from the farmhouse.
Tuscany is a by far the most famous region of middle Italy. It is best known as the home of Florence where the renaissance of art and sculpture began.
Florence has some of the most famous churches and museums worldwide.
Lucca's province offers a beautiful countryside, the famous beaches of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi and wonderful mountais as Te Apuane Alps as well as the Garfagnana Region.
Lucca itself is a medieval city on a plain and is still completely surrounded by its 16th Century walls. It has rightly become a noted tourist destination. The rolling hills around Lucca are famous for the extraordinary quality of the olive oil Even the local wine production has been in the last decades strongly increased.
