About the home

This apartment is ideal for those who wish to combine a relaxing family holiday by the pool with the sight-seeing and cultural activities that Lucca has to offer.
It is difficult to imagine that only a distance of 500 metres from the town wall of Lucca lies this green oasis of tranquility. Through a door of the wall which surrounds the property you have access to a beautiful garden . The swimming pool is used by the 6 apartments that make up the villa. It is within a few minutes on foot or by bicycle to the town wall of Lucca. It is also conveniently situated for excursions to the various art towns such as Pisa, Siena, Florence, to explore the beautiful countryside, to try local specialities or to discover the signs of history of Tuscany. The famous beaches of the Versilia are only 20 km away.

Within a small outdoor area access to the apartment: Ground floor: living-dining room with dining table, kitchen with stove, oven, fridge/freezer, 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom shower, wc, 1 single bedroom with 1 additional single bed which can be put one under the other bed. The apartment has direct access onto the swimming pool. Well-looked after furnishings.

The 3’000 sqm sized garden and the swimming pool with salt water is at the disposal of the 6 apartments. There are tables, chairs, sun-umbrellas, deck-chairs, barbecue, ping-pong table and an outdoor shower. There is also a private parking with an electric gate.

Conditions

The use of air conditioning and heating is not included in the rental price and will be charged on consumption.

A security deposit of 200 Euros should be paid upon arrival and is returned at the end of the stay after inspecting the accommodation for any accidental damages.

30% of rental fee is due immediately on booking and the remaining 70% due not less than 30 days before arrival.

The Tuscany / Lucca Province region

Tuscany is the most well known Italian region world wide, famous for its art, history and evocative landscapes. Strategically placed in the centre of Italy, it stretches over the slope of the Apennines and reaches the Tyrrhenian Sea. The Tuscan landscape, mainly mountainous and hilly, is one of the most representative images of Italy in the world, but the region also has a plane (the Maremma), long sandy beaches and headlands as well as the small enchanting islands of the Tuscan archipelago.
The whole region is an unrivalled centre of art dating across the centuries, with Etruscan ruins (in Fiesole, Chiusi, Volterra, Populonia), Roman monuments, Romanesque architecture and impressive Gothic cathedrals.

The Lucca area

Lucca is a small city rich in art and culture and well-known as the jewel of Tuscany
Lucca is one of the few towns which has maintained its town walls intact. These walls surround the historic centre with its many churches, towers, palaces, museums, traditional boutiques and characteristic lanes. It is forbidden to drive by car on the wall, therefore it is really beautiful place for walking and cycling. From the walls you have magnificent views onto the architectural beauties of the town and the rolling surrounding hills.
Lucca still seems today like a labyrinth of squares and lanes which get narrower and more concealed the closer one gets to the heart of the centre. Visitors to Lucca not only admire the historic beauties of the town but can also indulge their palates in the mouth-watering local specialities. One can go shopping in the Via Fillungo (the most famous shopping mile of the centre) where stylish shops, antique shops, coffee bars and “trattorias” characterize the townscape.
Very near to the Fillungo is the place drama lovers went to the theatre during the period of the Romans. Centuries later houses were built on the foundations of this imperial theatre and so the oval shaped “Piazza del Anfiteatro” was born. This square is one of the most picturesque in the whole of Italy and one of the most well- known in the whole world. It is a “must” for every tourist because you can still see the remains of the original town wall.
Lucca is a vibrant lively town all year round. There are markets at the weekend including the vary famous antique market which draws antique lovers from far and wide. In the summer months films are shown under the starry night in one of the beautiful piazzas and there are musical outdoor concerts.

Very good. The actual accommodation was quite simple - but what more do you need? The garden and pool were great, and the owners were very friendly and helpful.

A lovely property. Clean, tidy, comfortable. Good location, nice hosts. A shame we had to walk through a building site to get to it and that the outside lights didn't work so we need head torches to get home. Having one bathroom that had to be access through another bedroom was a bit awkward but on the whole it was very suitable and i'd definitely recommend it to others.
Lucca was beautiful, very pretty, accessible, many things to see and do. Central to tuscany too, easy to get to beach, Pisa, Florence and the mountains. Very much enjoyed my stay there. Would definitely come back.

Excellent, just 10 minutes walk from everywhere - also very clean. Owners Fausto & Eva were lovely and very helpful.
Beautiful place, nice to find somewhere relaxing after the madness of Rome and Florence .
