Casa Elia is furnished with great care and charm – terracotta tiled floors – Tuscan style.
For your added comfort during the summer months mosquito nets are fitted to all windows.

The property is superb for outdoor living as it enjoys sunshine from dawn to dusk. The gardens provide perfect areas for relaxation and for children to play.

Casa ELIA is situated at 800 mt about a village, called S.Martino in Freddana. In the village there are one shop for every genre as a supermarket,a pharmacy, some resaurants, some pizzeria. Delicatessen, Butcher Shop, Bakery, Coffee Shop, Tobacco Shop, Hair Salon, Mechanic, Dry cleaners, Edicola, Catholic Church.
For what concern tasting wine, we are producer of white and red wine , in fact the vineyard are next to the house!..The first bottle for our guest is a present, than during the journey you have a little cave in the villa and you can take the bottles you want, than at the end we count them.
Prepare dinner at home is our speciality! we do this service very often, we prepare it for you, all typical Tuscan dishes!!To have it is enough book it 2 days before, so when you are already in the villa, at arrival time I give you the menu with the prices, than if you want you can stay in the kitchen and we will explain how to do as a sort of cooking Italian lesson.
GOLF CLUB SERBACCO (on site)
Close to the house the owners have built a 4 hectares golf course with 9 holes (Pitch e Putt) and a pool. The golf course is equipped with club house, golf club rental and training area. Guests will have a special entrance fee.

The typical Tuscan landscape most famous in the world is that of plains and hills, in particular in the area around Firenze, Lucca, Pisa and Siena, where more than in any other part one can enjoy the harmony which unites man with nature.Here orderly cultivations of vines and olives alternate, marked by rows of Cypresses and
by farm houses which give the visitor a sense of balance and elegant beauty.
Whichever the four seasons you choose to visit Tuscany, the average weather temperatures are as follows:
Spring – The countryside is beautiful with bright green fields dotted with colourful wildflowers and comfortable temperatures ranging between 65° F and 75° F
Summer – The busiest time to visit Italy with predictable sunny hot weather and temperatures ranging from 80° F to 90° F.
Autumn – A beautiful season with fine weather up until the end of October. For those seeking a more active vacation like walking or trekking the weather is comfortable with temperatures reaching 70° F to 75° F
Winter – is a good time to visit with shorter queues for museums and other sightseeing attractions with many sunny days and a winter temperature of around 50° F during the day.
Florence (Firenze) (80km)
Bursting with renaissance art and architecture, the city of Florence is a cultural delicacy for visitors.
No trip to Florence would be complete without a trip to the world famous Uffizi Gallery, housing masterpieces from Botticelli, Michelangelo, Titan and Piero della Francesca, among others.
There are museums in Florence which target children from 8 years old and have special sections for the very young – from 3 to 7.
The centre is crowded with shops selling everything from stylish clothing to second hand books. Big fashion names will be found in via de Tournabuoni and via della Vigna Nuova.
Beside the shops, Florence is rich in open-air markets. The market of San Lorenzo, situated at the centre of the city is the preferred destination of tourists.
Pisa (39km)
By far the best known sight in Pisa is the famous Leaning Tower which is one of many architecturally and artistically important structures in the city.
The natural and environmental heritage is particularly attractive and in the area you can visit the Natural Park of Migliarino, the Pisano Mountain or the coastline at Marina di Vecchiano, Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia.
Siena (139km)
One of Italy’s best preserved medieval cities, located in the heart of Tuscany, Siena is built on three hills. The city is surrounded by well preserved walls and is filled with fine examples of Gothic architecture. It is also home to one of the world’s most unique piazza’s – Piazza del Campo or il Campo as referred to locally.
Twice a year on July 2 and August 16, Piazza del Campo plays host to the famous Palio horse race, a battle between the contrada (districts) of the city.
San Gimignano (90 km)
Take a drive through the ever changing scenery of vineyards and olive trees to reach San Gimignano. Perched on top of a hill, the city has remained intact through centuries and is famous for its numerous towers, fresco’s and other art treasures.
The Lucca area
Lucca: a city of Ligurian-Etruscan origins, enclosed by a circle of 16th-century walls, with its palaces, churches, towers and gardens is a small enchanted world.
Lucca with its monuments, squares, fountains, museums; with its tranquil medieval town centre in great part pedestrian, with its theatre, the Teatro del Giglio, and it's esteemed seasons of opera, prose, orchestral music and dance; with its important cultural events such as the Comics Revue and the Summer Festival, the traditional ones such as the procession of Santa Croce during the city's September festivities, or the Flower Market in April. Lucca is a city which offers the tourists attractions of historic interest and natural beauty with the sure knowledge that you can walk through the city and surrounding areas at any time in complete safety.
2000 years of history will catch your eyes walking around Lucca’s squares and streets. It is home to splendid Romanesque churches, museums, monuments, and birth place of Giacomo Puccini (1858) one of Italy most famous composer.
Via Fillungo is the main street in Lucca and is lined with excellent shops intermingled with some interesting buildings. Indoor and open air markets are held in Piazza del Carmine and the antique market is held on the 3rd Sat and Sunday of every month in and around Piazza San Giusto.
There are many “ristoranti”, “pizzeria” and typical “trattorie” located in the city and surrounding hills serving a variety of wonderful Tuscan dishes.
During the summer Lucca welcomes some of the most famous singers of the world for the “Summer Festival’s" concerts, held in the major squares of the town.
While in the brand new open air theatre on the Massaciuccoli lake, in Torre del Lago Puccini, 20 km from the villa, in front of the villa where Puccini wrote some of its best pieces, the Puccini festival takes place. From june till august, the composer’s most popular operas are performed in a spectacular scenario ..

Nearest Beaches (25 mins by car)
The Versilia coastline spreads out from Viareggio to Marina Carrara and is one of the most fashionable coasts of Italy including the sophisticated resort of Forte dei Marmi where you can mingle with the Italian aristocracy.
there are different free beaches in Torre del Lago and in Viareggio.
Viareggio, elegant and refined, is one of the more famous coast resorts in Versilia and a tourist destination known all over the world. It is an amusement-centre, the country of the Carnival with Carnival’s “Cittadella”, of the Pucciniano Festival and of the night-refinement with its advanced anf first-rate night-clubs and premises. The night lights make room for a lively and coloured landscape in summer and for wonderful sunsets and tranquillity in winter.

The villa is set in the countryside around Lucca, about 10 km far from the centre of the town.
Pisa airport is quite small and you pass through the formalities quickly. An alternative airport is Florence. all the major companies are present, such as British Airways, Air France, Iberia, and also low costs companies such as Ryan Air and Easy Jet. From there is just a short drive - 20minutes from Pisa, 45 minutes from Florence to reach the village.
Direct flight from New york (JFK) to Pisa (PSA) operated by Delta Airlines.
From Canada or the United States you may find a much cheaper fare from your home airport to your Italian airport by way of London, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt or Amsterdam with Alitalia (flies direct from both Canada and the US) Lufthansa, Delta, Air Canada, KLM, British Airways.

From Pisa Airport:- Take indications from Pisa Airport to Motorway (Autostrada A12) in direction of Genova. Take 1st exit on to Autostrada A11 towards Firenze(Florence) and take the first exit off this motorway for Lucca. Follow indications for city centre (centro) and you will see the walls of the city in front of you. Follow signs for Camaiore. Go along this road for 9 km and when you reach San Martino in Freddana turn right for Loppeglia/Fiano and after 1 km you can see from the street vineyards and olive trees. When these are passed, take the first little street on right and go ahead until the indication Casa Elia.
