About the home

Apartment "Erica" in the heart of Lucca is a fantastic choice if you want to enjoy Tuscan art and history. Step out of the flat and enter the stunning "Roman Anfiteatro" with its typical restaurants and shops. The Churches and Cathedral are famous worldwide for their architecture and art and the Guinigi Tower and Clock Tower are some of the many sites you cannot fail to admire. The old town is completely surrounded by tall medieval walls which are 4 metres wide on top and are ideal for walking and cycling. Lucca is also a perfect base for visiting Florence, Pisa, Viareggio and Siena.

Spacious first floor apartment which has a living-room, kitchen, dining-room, bathroom with shower, 2 bedrooms both with king-size beds and possibility of extra single bed. The small terrace is next to the dining-room and is equipped with table and chairsand is suitable for reading and sunbathing. Apartment "Erica" is stylishly furnished with terracotta tyles, stone details and wooden beamed ceilings. The kitchen is modern and functional and is perfect for self-catering.

The kitchen is modern and functional. It has a gas stove and electric oven. The kitchen is open and is next to dining room which is furnished with table and chairs.

The dining area has a door which opens on to terrace where you can comfortably sit and relax. The view is of the courtyard and surrounding trees and houses. The front of the apartment looks onto the cities most beautiful sites: the Roman Amphitheatre built round the ancient arena.

The living room is painted in pastel shades and has stone detail and beamed roof also present throughout the apartment. There are two comfortable armchairs and a sofa bed from which you can read, watch tv, listen to music or sleep.

The bedrooms are spacious with new matresses and wardrobe. the shower-room has curtained shower, wc and bidet and a sliding door separates these from mirrored washhand basin.

There is hot water and central heating throughout the apartment.This traditional home in the heart of the medieval town was completely renovated 3 years ago.

The Tuscany / Lucca Province region

Tuscany is breathtaking for its scenery and art. The principal cities are Florence, Siena, Pisa, and Lucca. Lucca is also central if you wish to visit the riviera and seaside resorts of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, famous for their beautiful, white sandy beaches and lively night-life. If you take a trip slightly north you will be amazed at the mountain scenery of the Garfagnana area. Absolutely amazing!

Summer in Lucca offers many open concerts and markets to be enjoyed in the piazas of the city. The quiet side-street in which the apartment is located, leads into the main street, Via Fillungo, famous for its boutiques, restaurants and wine bars. Bicycles can be hired for cycling round the medieval walls

“Wonderful location, wonderful holiday; return visit already booked” The apartment is in a wonderful location, just off the amphitheatre in the centre of Lucca. Lucca itself is beautiful, we cycled round the renaissance city walls and had breakfeast in the amphitheatre. The apartment is spacious and quiet with a balcony which looks out over gardens. Lucia was extremely helpful to us and we have already booked a return visit. Needless to say, we would recommend the apartment to anyone.

“Very good apartment, in great location.” I was staying here with my parents and partner. Lucca is a lovey town and this apartment is right at the heart of it, close to restaurants and bars. We had a hire car and it is about a 10 minute walk to some free car parks outside of the walls. We were very pleasently surprised to find that there were two double bedrooms rather than the bunk that is in the photos. The living space was more than adequate. The balcony was a particular favourite for breakfasts and evening drinks. We self catered most of the time and found the kitchen fine. The neighbour that liked to have their tv on loudly very early in the morning and also the neighbour who fed the pigeons at about 7am was very annoying for my parents who are light sleepers. But it didn't bother me much and they got over it and no harm was done. Definately reccomend this apartment to anyone.

“Fantastic apartment in THE BEST location possible” a great apartment in the very best location. The holiday was great from the moment we got there. We were met by the very nice, friendly and helpful owner and taken up to the apartment. The apartment itself is very clean, comfortable and with everything you might need. but more importantly it's position is perfect!!! The apartment is just yards from the main shopping street and right on the very beautiful antifiatro. while the apartment is very central it is by no means noisey. You can sit out on the balcony at any time of day and listen to the birds sing. If you are going anywhere in Tuscany I'd say it has to be lucca and if you are going to stay there it has to be this apartment. I'll definately be back! Response: So glad you enjoyed Lucca and my apartment.

“Excellent location” Loved it! If you want a good value break in Lucca then this does the job brilliantly.Comfy bed, good shower, didn't stay in much so can't comment re cooking facilities etc. Telly a bit dodgy but that didn't matter to us. Lucia lovely, all round good apartment. It really is just outside the Antifeatro, literally about 30 seconds walk and a bar that stays open late (has no detrimental effect on apt at all). Loved Lucca, we went for a friends wedding and will be going back. We went to Viareggio for the day, and to Florence,both on the bus, you don't need a car in my view unless you want to go out into the hills, and cycled round the walls, which was fabulous, not been on a bike for 30+ years and highly recommend it!
