About the home

Villa Sandra is a typical elegant country house built in l930. It is surrounded by its pretty fenced in garden with typical plants and trees of the area, such as the camelia plant.

At night, fall asleep to the whispering sound of the stream that flows near the garden. Wake up to spectacular views of the hills and the local village.

Eat at the local restaurant and pizzeria or play tennis only a few feet away. A perfect property for families or groups of friends.

The home is very comfortably divided on two floors. The ground floor includes the large living room-sitting room with balcony, one double bedroom, bathroom with shower and laundry room. The eat-in kitchen is also located on this floor. There is a large patio in front of the house where a table and chairs are located for alfresco dining and overlooking the pretty garden.

The villa is surrounded by its own garden on 3 sides. There are lemon trees, camelias, Tuscan herbs which can be used for cooking. A natural spring runs through the property and the water is collected in a large basin which can be used for washing. From the villa, you can walk to the local cafe and the tennis courts, walk into the village to savor the local life, or walk to the local restaurant/pizzeria just up the road.

Lucca is a beautiful midieval city. A city where one can still feel the local life with people shopping, socializing and just strolling. Plenty of wonderful places to dine or sitting at a local cafe and watching the locals walk by.
The countryside of Lucca is just as interesting with its beautiful olive groves and vineyards. Visit the Garfagnana mountains with the beautiful city of Barga and many more. Visit the numerous historical villas such as Villa Torrigiani and Villa Reale. Visist the many small towns around the area or spend a day at the nearby beach. Take a day trip to Cinque Terre or visit a museum in Florence. The selections of things to do is enormous.

Lucca is very easy to reach by airplane, train or car. Pisa airport is located only 20kms from Lucca. Florence airport only 1 hour from Lucca. There is a very convenient train station just outside the historic centre.
Both airports have car rental agency offices.

For those booking Villa Sandra for two weeks or more will be offered a guided tour of Lucca by a local licensed tour guide.
