Lucca - Garfagnana / Barga area
The area is steeped in history. Castelvecchio is part of the Lucca Region which is a medieval walled city, now fully functional as an amazingly distinguished shopping town with beautiful restaurants. The walled city of Lucca is deeply historical with incredible architecture.
The Italian Poet, Giovanni Pascoli was born in Castelvecchio and a local museum displaying his life’s work is only a stone’s throw from the property. The climate is beautiful with sunshine (normally) from May to October. Winter can be cold but extremely beautiful with snow capped mountains. Enjoy the scenery and return home to a cozy log fire.
Only an hour’s drive to the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the distinguished beach resort of Viareggio (the Italian Riviera), this property offers the best of all worlds. The house is also only a five minute drive from the prestigious Hotel Il Ciocco which sports a swimming pool and incredible viewpoint.
The area has two open air swimming pools complete with bar and food service.
