Casa Daniele is located just 400m from the very centre of Barga, ideally located for access to the new and old parts of Barga. It is a 2-storey house which has been newly-decorated throughout to a very high standard. It has a wonderful, summery ambience.
The lower floor consists of two rooms: a beautiful kitchen/dining space with open fire and modern, fitted kitchen and a living area with double sofa bed. The two rooms are connected by an open arch.
Upstairs, there is a very large bedroom and bright, spacious bathroom.
Patio doors open from the sitting area onto a large, lawned, private garden which provides a safe area for children and there is also a smaller, south-facing garden at the side of the house, ideal for al-fresco dining.

The Tuscany region
The Garfagnana region has all the charm, culture and history of southern Tuscany while also offering endless opportunities for walking amidst rugged and spectacular mountain scenery.
Nestling between the Apennies and the more rugged Apuan Alps, the area is characterised by beech and chestnut-covered hills set against a spectacular mountain backdrop.
Lucca is a 45-minute drive away and the coast about 1hour 15mins. The rail network also provides a cheap, quick and stress-free means of reaching the centres of Florence, Pisa and Lucca.
Lucca - Garfagnana / Barga area
Barga is a wonderful medieval town bursting with history, beautiful architecture, galleries, cafés and restaurants. There is a jazz club which offers live music all year round as well as a theatre and summer jazz and opera festivals. Throughout the summer in Barga and surrounding villages there are frequent small outdoor festivals with live music, dancing and local food.
The modern part of Barga has a public outdoor pool, a cinema, tennis courts, riding stables, bike hire and, of course, many shops, cafes and restaurants.

Nearest airports: Pisa and Florence.
Easyjet and Ryanair both fly to Pisa, about 1hr 15mins away (73km).
By road from Lucca, follow signs for Barga / Castelnuovo di Garfagnana / Garfagnana (SS12 / SS445).

Further details indoors: The front door opens into the fresh, modern living space with double sofa bed and attractive spiral staircase. An open arch leads into the kitchen/dining area which has dual-aspect windows and a light, airy feel. The kitchen has a breakfast bar and is fully fitted with modern appliances, including a washing machine. The dining area features an open fire.
A modern, spiral staircase leading from the sitting area provides access to the upper floor with its very large double bedroom with dual aspect windows to the North and South. On this floor, there is also a spacious, beautifully-decorated bathroom.
Off the upper hall is a good-sized, north-facing terrace which provides a cooler alternative to the south and west-facing gardens.
Further details outdoors: Casa Daniele is located at the end of a quiet road. There is a south-facing garden to the side of the house and a very large, open grassy garden to the west. A 3m-diameter, above-ground pool is available in the summer months (Depth 90cm).
Garden furniture is also provide for al-fresco summer dining.
On the upper floor of the house, there is a good-sized, north-facing terrace which provides a great shady spot for reading in the heat of the day.
