House is situated within the beautiful Natural park of L’Orido di Botri with greatest canyon of Italy, 850m above sea level in mountains of Apennine, 16km from town Bagni di Lucca.
We are surrounded by chestnut forests and have the most amazing changeable landscapes. You can take romantic breakfast, lunch or dinner on terrace of house with a view to beautiful valley of L’Orido di Botri. There is mounting ski resort to one side and beautiful beach to another side just less than 1 hour drive from house.

The Tuscany region
Viareggio, a fashionable Italian beach resort, is a comfortable drive away (50 km through beautiful wine country). The house is 70 km from Pisa with it's leaning tower, 90 km from Florence, an art lovers paradise and full of lovely shops & a very good outdoor market. La Spezia and Cingue Terre are 100km from house.
Lucca is only 40 km away, with very sophisticated modern shops, restaurants & bars in an ancient walled city. You can rent a bike for 2.50 per hour & cycle around the city walls offering spectacular views of the city & the surrounding countryside. Abetone- mountain skiing resort is 40km from house by normal road and just 15km from house via mountain-pass . There are many other castles, bridges & places of interest too numerous to mention, suffice to say that there's plenty to explore.
Cinque Terre (120km)- The suggestive type of coastal projections on the sea with sheer cliffs that often overtake the verticality alternated with bays, winding paths and enchanting small beaches between cliffs .... natural "opera of art".
Lucca - Garfagnana / Bagni di Lucca area
Greatest canyon - L'Orido di Botri (2km) amazing wievs 4 hours of walking, waterfalls. Tereglio(6km) and Montefegatessi (7km), a tiny, ancient mountaintop village with stunning views across the Apennines with 2 good restaurants & 2 small traditional bars.
Grotto del Vento (25km), one of the most complete European caves, here are three itineraries, first is for one hour, second, two hours and the third for three hours. One can extend the excursion to the Calomini Hermitage, a sanctuary carved into the rock. Ponte Maddalena. (15km) A local bridge that is centuries old.

Fly to Pisa(60km), Firence(105km) or Bologna(110km), then rent a car.

Further details indoors: The master bedroom is a large room with a very high ceiling and exposed dark wood beams. It has an extra large double bed, cabinet and 2 reclining chairs; room equipped with Bulerjan wood heating oven. There are a further 2 twin bedrooms both with 2 single beds and 2 removable beds for children. The bathroom has shower enclosure and toilet. Hot and cold water available.
Two of three bedrooms has nice views to valley from windows. Living room with fire place and exit to terrace. There is also a pull out sofa bed (double). Room equipped with TV Set, Sattelite receiver, DVD, Hi-Fi stereo system.
Kitchen equipped with microwave, electrical and wood ovens, coffee machine, small refrigerator, hot and cold water, washing machine. Complete set of different dishes are available. In the kithen you will find some basic food and spring water.
Further details outdoors: The Terrace with the view to valley located in a front of house. There is also open fire place for barbeque. We have large garden around the house. There is portable pool inside store room, you can install it at any place in garden.
The toys for children are available in store room. Car parking is free. Pets allowed.
