Home description
Pallunga is a converted steading and registered "agriturismo" with three accommodation units and a shared above-ground pool. Set in 4.5 hectares of meadows and woodland in the beautiful Serchio valley 10km to the north of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Pallunga is an ideal base for those who want to explore the local countryside and mountains; visit cities such as Florence and Pisa or simply want to relax in the peaceful and spacious grounds of the steading.
Three accommodation units are available: Casa Rondine (the 2-bedroom apartment described here), Casa Cristina (a 3-bedroom rustic house) and La Capanna ( an airy studio apartment). Please e mail for availability of individual properties.

Lucca - Garfagnana area
Pallunga Agriturismo is set in a peaceful location which is ideal for a relaxing holiday amidst wonderful rural surroundings.
For those who wish to explore the Alpi Apuane or the Appenines, there are countless well-marked trails. More challenging climbing is also available, particularly in the Alpi Apuane.
The local village of Sillicagnana is only 1.2 km away and is easily reachjed by car or by a pleasant walk. Castelnuovo, the main market town of the area, is a short drive away (10km).
Access to Pisa, Florence and the other Tuscan cities is easy by car or by rail.

Easyjet and Ryanair both fly to Pisa, about 1hr 35mins away.

Further details indoors: Casa Rondine has a wonderful airy, spacious feel and has been sympathetically renovated with modern fittings which blend beautifully into the fabric of the ancient stone building.
There a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge area. (Note that access to the double bedroom is through the lounge.)
Further details outdoors: Patio doors from the lounge and kitchen open directly out onto the sunny terrace at the side of the house with its outdoor furniture.
At the rear, there is a large grassy area with ample room for sunbathing. Beyond this, the extensive grounds extend down towards the Serchio River which is 5 minutes' walk away.
