The property is close to all amenities and less than 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Barga with its cafes, restaurants, shops and art galleries. Very handily situated, (less than a minute's walk from the house), is a cafe/grocery shop. Private parking is available in the driveway.
The local tennis courts are less than 5 minutes walk away and the cinema and bus station are a couple of minutes further on. There is a local open air swimming pool 10 minutes' walk away.
Included with the property are the whole of the sunny front garden and side garden, ideal for "al fresco" dining and relaxation either on the lawn or veranda. The garden is very safe for children, being completely enclosed and separated from the road by a hedge and gate. There is a BBQ for guests' use and a children's paddling pool can be provided if requested.

Lucca - Garfagnana / Barga area
Barga is a wonderful medieval town bursting with history, beautiful architecture, galleries, cafés and restaurants. There is a jazz club which offers live music all year round as well as a theatre and summer jazz and opera festivals. Throughout the summer in Barga and surrounding villages there are frequent small outdoor festivals with live music, dancing and local food.
The modern part of Barga has a public outdoor pool, a cinema, tennis courts, riding stables, bike hire and, of course, many shops, cafes and restaurants.
How to get there
Nearest airports: Pisa and Florence. Easyjet and Ryanair both fly to Pisa, about 1hr 30mins away, (65km).
By road from Lucca, follow signs for Barga / Castelnuovo di Garfagnana / Garfagnana. (SS12 / SS445).

Further details indoors: The large lounge/dining kitchen (about 30 sqm) has terracotta floor tiles, open fire, dual aspect windows and a door to the side garden where there is a stone picnic table and benches just next to the kitchen door. A TV/DVD player is provided (DVDs can be rented in Barga).
The kitchen is provided with plenty of storage space and has a larder fridge with freezer compartment, electric oven, hob with 4 gas and 2 electric rings and microwave oven. The washing machine is housed in an outhouse at the back of the property.
There are 2 bedrooms, both with parquet floors. One is very large (about 25 sqm) with double bed while the other (15 sqm) has two singles. In addition, the sofa bed in the lounge opens out to a double bed.
There is a 4 piece shower room.
