The house is a split-level design with terraces front and back. Patio doors from the lounge open onto the front terrace area with outdoor table and chairs, BBQ and bread / pizza oven. There is access to the rear terrace from the bedrooms upstairs. Beside the swimming pool, there is a large, flat lawned area which is ideal for ball games and general running around.
The front door leads into the kitchen / dining area which has a dishwasher, fridge-freezer and open fire and an attractive spiral staircase leading to the bedrooms upstairs. A stone arch leads through to the airy lounge area with patio door leading to the front terrace. The shower room is also on the ground floor.
There is a double and a twin bedroom upatairs. Both bedrooms feature beamed ceilings and access to the rear terrace with vines and olive groves beyond.

Lucca - Garfagnana / Albiano area
Barga is a wonderful medieval town bursting with history, beautiful architecture, galleries, cafés and restaurants. There is a jazz club which offers live music all year round as well as a theatre and summer jazz and opera festivals. Throughout the summer in Barga and surrounding villages there are frequent small outdoor festivals with live music, dancing and local food.
The modern part of Barga has a public outdoor pool, a cinema, tennis courts, riding stables, bike hire and, of course, many shops, cafes and restaurants.
How to get there
Nearest airports: Pisa and Florence. Easyjet and Ryanair both fly to Pisa, about 1hr 30mins away, (65km).
By road from Lucca, follow signs for Barga / Castelnuovo di Garfagnana / Garfagnana. (SS12 / SS445).
The property is just outside Albiano, about 4 km to the north of Barga.

Further details indoors: Note that access to the second bedroom is through the first, however there is independent access to both bedrooms from the rear terrace.
Further details outdoors: Il Turello is set in 11 hectares of mixed grounds, surrounded by woodland. There is also a large area of lawn beside the swimming pool which provides ample space in which children can run around or play ball games.
Note that the last few hundred metres of the road to Il Turello is not surfaced, but access is easy, even with a normal small car (Fiat Punto, etc).
