"Perfect"

Lovely cottage in a perfect location with everything you could ever need, very comfortable bed, constant hot water for showers plus the lounge, conservatory and dining room all had plenty of comfy chairs. Masses of utensils/crockery etc if you intend to cook while staying. All beautifully clean and tea/coffee/milk and biscuits along with fresh flowers on our arrival. Our reason for staying was a wedding at nearby Hyde Barn (again another lovely place) and our only regret was that we would have loved to stay longer but as we only had from Friday to Tuesday we didn't get much walking done so hopefully we will be able to return. So glad we found Appletree cottage - thank you John and Caroline

"Lovely cottage, ideal location for touring the Cotswolds"

Very relaxing stay at this lovely and cozy cottage. Ideal location for touring the Cotswolds, with Stow-on-the-Wold just a 10minute drive away. Visited Tewkesbury and Bourton-on-water.

"A very charming place"

This place is just right for all the city boys and girls who crave to get out of their tiny central London apartments from time to time and enjoy a really nice cottage and the countryside. The cottage looks so charming it's hard to believe it's real. Inside it's pretty spacious with a double bedroom of a good size and another very large bedroom with 3 single (but pretty large) beds. The bathroom is also bigger than I expected. The living room and the terrace are very cozy, just right for a relaxing night in with a glass of wine in front of a log burner. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice meal. It might have been a good idea if there was more than 1 frying pan there, but since it was just 2 of us we were fine. I spoke to the owners through emails in the run up to the holiday and they seemed a very nice and friendly couple. All in all - the best thing you can think of for a relaxing weekend away from London.

"Perfect place, perfect location"

This property has everything you need, so well kitted out, from the DvD's to the fireplace. The best clothes washer and dryer, quick and efficient. Good shower and the lovely flowers on arrival a very nice touch. Lower Swell is a great spot, friendly village and the Golden Ball pub, has excellent food and very friendly locals. We used this as a base for the Cotswolds and it was perfect, there is a large Tesco in Stow so good for supplies. Owners very quick to respond and answer any questions.

"Great cute cottage - perfect get away!"

This was a very well maintained cottage. As a group of 5 girls we found the space really nice, the venue very clean with lots of friendly surroundings. We stayed during a very hot weekend and the cottage was nice and cool inside but with loads of pretty outside areas. It was nice and clean, with everything we needed and very friendly owners. We would defiantly stay here again.

"Appletree Cottage. I'd do it again"

The pictures don't do this place justice. When I read the word "Cottage" I was expecting something older, but this place was quite conteporary. Very spacious. The ameneties to "get you started" were really nice.Fully equipped kitchen, Coffe, tea, sugar and milk in the fridge. Wi-Fi. Directions to local attractions, grocery, etc. and maps were great to have. Being American, I was not familiar with the heating system, and couldn't figure out how to turn it on. Owner came by straight away and showed me how to operate it. The owners were very accomodating on shifting the dates of our stay when our other travel plans changed. You will get more than you expect if you stay here. A very homey feel. American are not familiar with the idea of using GPS to navigate to a postal code, rather than an address, but it will take you right to it. We would have found it anyway with the directions given by the owners.

"Beautiful cottage"

Cottage was lovely, and much bigger than it looks in the pictures. The location is also perfect, with a lovely pub within walking distance. We were accommodated at very late notice and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Excellent cottage in very convenient position"

We found Appletree cottage suited us perfectly as a base to explore the Cotswolds. The cottage is spacious, clean and well equipped with most things needed for a week long stay. Booking was easy and the owners answered any questions we had before our stay quickly. Toys, games & DVDs provided were a definite bonus for keeping our toddler entertained on the few very rainy days we had. The conservatory and rear garden area were great for sitting out in when the sun did come out. Cottage is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac with no traffic, quick walk down the road to fields for kids to play in and pub just a short stroll. Nearby Stow on Wold has a supermarket and all essential shops. The only area I can suggest improvement would be with the kitchen equipment provided as it only had bare essentials and could also do with a few more of each item, ie plates, glasses etc...so not constantly washing up. Other than that the cottage was perfect for us.

Many thanks for your kind review. We note your comment on the number of glasses, plates etc and have now added some more of everything. We hope to welcome you back to the Cotswolds again in the future.
