The Central England/Cotswolds region
MIchaelmas Daisy Cottage is situated in the heart of the most popular Cotswold area. It is perfect for touring the many lovely villages and for walking, cycling or whatever you choose. Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle, Stratford on Avon and beautiful Bath are all within easy reach by car. From nearby Kingham station you can take the train to London for the day.
Golf, fishing and horse riding are available locally. There are also beautiful gardens and National Trust properties to visit nearby. The local pubs (in particular The Fox which is just around the corner from the cottage) serve excellent food and Stow-on-the-Wold has an interesting range of small shops and a supermarket.
Daylesford Organic farmshop is only a mile from the cottage and there you can feast your eyes on their wonderful food, home and garden accessories and clothes. There is also a spa if you fancy being pampered. You need a deep pocket but a light lunch or a cup of coffee are certainly affordable. The National Trust's Chastleton House is about 3 miles from the cottage.
It's a perfect unspoiled Jacobean house and very well worth a visit. Walkers are spoiled for choice in the immediate area. Why not walk to the village of Bledington across the fields and have a pint or a delicious meal there at The King's Head on the green?

"a wonderful little cottage"
We have stayed at Michaelmas Daisy for the last 7 New Years. It is a little gem tucked away in a very quiet village. When we opened the door that very first time we couldnt believe how lovely it was. There are great walks from the front door but we mainly stayed in so as to make the most of the quaint cottage and its tranquility. The kitchen is small but ingeniously designed to give you all you need. The open plan bedroom is just lovely and the added touches all around make it a really special place to stay. The welcoming flowers, cake and teatray all make it a real home from home. The only downside is the sadness when you come to leave.

"A wonderful cottage in a lovely area"
Michelmas cottage is a ideal place for a country getaway. Perfectly located for exploring the Cotswolds, especially nearby Bourton on the water and Stow on the wold. The cottage is furnished with everything you could need, however does not have wifi.
Booking was also very easy and Rosemary was helpful.
