"Short Autumn Break"

For our first visit to the Cotswolds this was an ideal location for visiting lots of interesting places.
Our accommodation was in a very relaxing and picturesque area. It was lovely and clean and provided everything we needed for a short break. We found it very warm and cosy which was great to return to after a busy day.

"Great location but villa needs a bit of TLC."

We stayed with family for a week. Great accommodation for 6 adults, 1 child, baby and dog. The view from the villa was great looking out onto one of the small lakes with plenty of wildlife. The kitche… More

Many thanks for taking the time to post the review on the Trip Advisor website; we really do appreciate your feedback.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your time at the Lower Mill Estate & our Nightingale Lodge, the estate is a really special place.

We are pleased to report that since your stay we have added to the the kitchen equipment, including some new pots + pans, frying pan & some extra new cooking equipment to incorporate your gastronomic stay in our property !

With regards to the issues that you raised with the water pressure, we are happy to confirm that we arranged for a firm of plumbing & heating engineers to vest the house & test the showers, with regards to your comments about the water pressure.

We are pleased to report that the water pressure all seems fine & the house got a clean bill of health ! The water pressure is good & the showers powerful.

We can only conclude that perhaps during your stay that the water company were doing some work on the estate, nearby or the water-mains which might have adversely affected the water pressure. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

We are really happy to report that we have over 3,000 guests in Nightingale Lodge & we have not had any reports about the water pressure or the shower pressure, so this must have been a one off !

I appreciate how important this is to potential guests, & we'd like to re-assure all future guests that the water pressure remains high & you can have a nice powerful shower whilst running the taps etc.

Thank you once again for taking the time to leave a report on Trip Advisor, this is really useful & we just know that our future guests really appreciate the time & effort that you spent posting this review. Kindest regards, Tim Haywood.

"Amazing holiday week"

Nightingale lodge is an absolutely lovely three storey house with a wonderful view of the lake.Lower Mill Estate is such a peaceful and stunnning estate. As soon as you arrive you feel the sense of getting away from all the stress and business of life. We were blessed with beautiful weather during our stay and every night till about 9.30pm I sat on the decking area of Nightingale lodge soaking in the sunshine and watching the wild life by the lake. Most evenings we went for a walk around the estate and we were stunned at the amount of bunnies hopping around every where. We cant wait ot return fo another break.

"A great lodge for our party!"

We stayed at the Lower Mill Estate in the nightingale lodge in February and this lodge was perfect for our party as it had 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We were staying at the lodge as a surprise weekend for my Dads 60th Birthday. We had 8 guests and a baby and this lodge suited us for the stay. We were able to have a Tesco shop delivered and a take away delivered in this site which can be a bit of a maze when you arrive. The directions on the welcome pack meant we were able to find out lodge but Jamie was on hand to help us locate the lodge. The spa facilities on the site were useful for is to use and were about a 5 minute walk from the lodge. We stayed Friday to Monday and would definately visit again.

"Smart new houses on a great, peaceful site with plenty to do."

We hired a couple of properties for a 40th birthday party - it was just right. We put all the kids and their parents in one house and everyone else in the other.

The kitchens were really well appointed, with big fridges and plenty of pots and pans. We cooked for all of us one night, so we're glad of that. You know how it can be with some rentals, you open up the drawers and find 3 mismatching plates and a pan. Not here, we had everything we needed.

The only problem was that it was quite difficult to find your way round the site in the dark (why, if you go in November means after 4.30) so we had to get a cab to the nearest pub. £12 for a 5 minute journey was a bit steep, but wouldn't have liked to try and walk there and back!

Tim and Jamie were really helpful, and we had a great time. A few hidden charges, booking fee, 'over occupancy charge' (if you use all the bedrooms!), and the value washing up liquid rather undercut the deluxe feeling of the rest of the house, but nonetheless worth the money. I'd definitely recommend it.

"Like a much smarter home from home!"

A lovely house, with a calming view over the water, that suited our needs perfectly. We spent a long weekend at Nightingale Lodge and had a lovely relaxing time. The open plan living space downstairs and 4 spacious bedrooms upstairs was perfect for a group of friends just wanting to spend some quality time together. The house is a short walk from the Artspa and the estate shop, and plenty of footpaths nearby for walks or runs.

The house was well furnished, but not so much that you didn't feel at home. The kitchen was well stocked, so you could fill the dishwasher and not be short of crockery.

We're already talking about when to come back.
