Glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. It is the ideal place to switch off, and lack of mobile phone signal in the cottage (3ft thick walls) , while a hinderance to many, may be a blessing to others.

"Great place highly recommended"

Many thanks for your comments
I am sorry that you found an issue with the wifi in the cottage. The cottage wifi is offered by an external company, and is simply boosted within the property. Being in a remote location does make this variable, but the cottage is meant as a place to get a way from it all. It is true that the wifi is free for 15 minutes but additional time can be purchased.
I am a little surprised that the stove presented an issue. It is a 7-9kW stove and heat output can be very high once the fire is going. It may be that the primary air vent was not opened sufficiently to allow heat to build, hence the smoke.

Thanks for the comments - you are one of the last to stay in the cottage prior to the renovation project so we hope you will try us again in the future and compare. I believe Hobbys Rest was named after some of the small birds of prey that have neen rumoured to be in the area.
