"Great house for a celebration"
This well-equipped, beautifully restored chapel was perfect for a gathering of friends. Plenty of space, indoors and outdoors and near some stunning walks. Would definitely recommend it and book again

We had a brilliant time at Capel Cartref. The chapel is beautiful and easily large enough for 10 adults.

"A spacious conversion with all the comforts of home."
The property is well equipped, the sofas are comfy and easily seated all 10 of us. Unfortunately the dining table didn't seat us all although there are stools at the nearby breakfast bar. We had occasion to put the heating on even though we visited in May, and the whole place soon became very warm, obviously a very efficient system which also provided endless hot water. The kitchen contains two kettles and two toasters, great when there's a lot of you. The immediate area is not especially pretty but you don't need to go far to find the usual stunning Welsh landscape. The local folk were extremely friendly and stopped to chat to us when we were in the garden. Booking the property was easy, Marnie, the owner was prompt and friendly, seeming to genuinely care about our visit to the Chapel. All in all a holiday enjoyed by our whole family.
Hi Alison, thank you for the prompt review. Very informative. Yes, the table seats 8 unless the dining chairs from the table in the lounge are swapped out for the larger chairs; I should have advised you of that, it makes it a bit more spacious. Glad all else went well and that you got to see lots of beautiful sights and that other aspects of the chapel were satisfying enough. Thank you for looking after the chapel and dealing with the recycling etc. We hope you return one day in the future. Kind regards, Yonni and Marnie

"Fantastic Accommodation - Perfect for 2 families!"
We stayed here with another family and their 2 dogs (9 people in total) and we had more than enough space for everyone. The accommodation is beautifully decorated, very clean with everything that you could possibly need for a self catering break. We loved the location (small village) as it was only 20 mins drive from Swansea and therefore close to the stunning Rhossili Bay and lots of other beaches. Also very close to the Dan-yr-Ogof caves which are a must especially if you have children with you. All communication with the owner Marnie was excellent and we had no problems at all with our booking or with our stay. Highly recommend the accommodation and the location if you wish to explore a bit of South Wales.
Thank you for such a thorough review. The website does not reflect the true size of the chapel, so we felt quite sure all 9 of you would have plenty of space but we are glad that the dogs were happy too! The surrounding area is really quite spectacular and so I'm glad you got to explore it. Thank YOU for looking after the chapel, it means a lot to us. Please come back again one day. Take care and kind regards, Yonni and Marnie

"Don't hesitate to stay here, it's perfection!"
We spent 2 weeks here and loved every second. The place is an incredible blend of old and new- modern finishing that respects the original building and though spacious seems really cosy. The top back bedroom was a particular favourite as it comes with a balcony! The view of the river is beautiful!! All in all this place was more than we could have hoped for and the 7 of us who stayed are already planning another visit!
Thank you for your prompt review! Great feedback, thank you so much. Glad the two weeks went well and that you got to enjoy the space of Capel Cartref. Looking forward to you returning some time in the future. Kind regards, Yonni and Marnie

Wonderful clean, spacious accommodation. Well equipped kitchen. Everything we needed for a great week with all the family. Enjoyed eating BBQs at the picnic tables outside in the sunshine.
Thank you for the 'Brilliant' review! So glad you got to stay there and enjoy it and for also looking after it during your holiday. Take care and kind regards. Hopefully we will see you again, Yonni and Marnie

We've spend a fantastic looong weekend in the capel (We equals 4 Belgian adults and 5 children, but the cottage offers plenty of space for the parents and the teens). The place was impeccable and at night it is very quiet. You can easily park 3 cars on the property. The large kitchen is well equipped: There is an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, two fridge freezers, a microwave… and a washing machine for those who plan to stay longer. Perfectly located to explore South Wales. There are plenty of maps and leaflets in the lounge. And if it is too much or if you should be short in imagination, I can absolutely recommend: Rhossili & Worms head, Mumbles pier, Swansea waterfront, Cardiff (bay), Penderyn Distillery, Big pit (underground tour). The owner was also very helpful in preparing our trip. Many many thanks !! J.
Hello there, I hope you are safely back home in Belgium. Thank you for your thorough review, it's great to see names of beautiful and interesting places to visit. Thank you also for taking care of the chapel during your stay, I'm glad to hear that it still felt spacious enough, even with the five children. Thank you once again, Yonni and Marnie

"A fantastic, unique venue choice with all your needs catered for."
We stayed at the Carpel Cartref for a two night break away and we were not disappointed with our choice. The chapel is a stunning venue and Marnie ensured all our needs were catered for. The accommodation is spacious, clean and well equipped and oozes character and history. My two young children throughly enjoyed their stay too. We visited Rhossili Bay which was breathtaking and also the Henrynd Waterfalls. A great introduction to Wales. Thank you Marnie.
Hi there. Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We are so glad you all had a good time at the chapel. Children seem to love it there and we are very glad that your children did too; it's probably a bit of an adventure for them. We are very grateful to have a great location for visiting places such as Brecon and Rhosilli and we are especially grateful to you and your family for looking after Capel Cartref during your stay. Thank you so much, we hope you will one day, come back. Kind regards, Yonni and Marnie
