The Heart of England/Peak District

Easy access to the coastal seaside resorts of Cleethorpes with Pleasure Island Theme Park (16 miles) and Skegness (23 miles). Both have events, festivals and shows throughout the summer season.

Cadwell Park racing circuit (6 miles) hosts many events from go-kart races to British Superbikes in August.

Lincoln (25 miles) with a magnificent castle and cathedral (where the Da Vinci Code was filmed), the Red Arrows at RAF Scampton can be seen regularly training over Lincoln. Unique shopping on Steep Hill and the Bailgate area near the castle. Annual Christmas market around the castle and cathedral area with over 250 stalls and cultural entertainment.

Helmswell Antiques Centre at Caenby Corner (24 miles) is the largest in Europe.

RAF Conningsby (20 miles) with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Museum and the base for the Typhoon.

Louth, voted England's favourite market town in 2012, is known as the capital of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Listed as 48th in the Sunday Times top 101 places to live in Britain and The Times named Louth as the 12th coolest place to live in the country. There are many individual shops and award winning butchers and outdoor markets Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. There are annual town fayres - Victorian themed with fancy dress in October, and Christmas Markets. There's a wide variety of Restaurants and pubs.

In July Louth town centre hosts a Vintage Day featuring the sounds and styles of the 1940s, 50s and 60s, live music and jive performances and more and a Food Fayre

St James' Church ( fifteenth century) has the tallest medieval parish church spire in the country, guided tours around the church are available. Beautiful working church with a gift shop, coffee shop and musical performances

Hubbards Hills and Westgate fields are very popular local areas to visit with lots of space for children to play

Meridian Leisure Centre, brand new facility with large leisure pool and slide, creche, coffee shop, children's activities, fitness classes, gym etc

There are lots of fishing lakes in the area eg Alvingham (5 miles) Saltfleet Fisheries, Saltfleet (6 miles),Fishing Oasis Lakes, North Somercotes (11 miles)

Rushmoor Country Park, North Cockrington (3 miles) - a day of animal magic. goats, sheep, pigs, birds of prey, owls, rabbits, guinea pigs and more, coffee shop and regular events.
