Canal Farm Cottages offer a pleasant setting for a peaceful break - with lovely views over open countryside to the Lincolnshire wolds and the majestic spire of St. James Church in Louth, just a few miles away. Louth is a beautiful unspoilt Georgian town, with a bustling market.
Bird life is abundant, and you may catch a glimpse of our resident Barn Owl. Walkers and birdwatchers will love the coastal nature reserves which are close by. Seal pups can be seen on the beaches in autumn and the Marsh Orchids in the early summer are spectacular.
NEWSFLASH - NOW CAN SLEEP 4 PEOPLE. This cottage has just had a complete refurbishment and upgrade to make our guests stay even more comfortable. We have now enlarged the bedroom to an L shape which can accommodate a double bed and 2 single beds, allowing 4 people to sleep in total with en-suite bathroom. The living area now has a new L shaped luxurious leather sofa and a flat screen digital LCD TV complete with DVD player.

Further details indoors: The charming cottages have retained the character of their agricultural heritage. They are well equipped and comfortable. The Local facilities are excellent, with 3 pubs and a cafe serving good food, and a village shop within three miles.
There is a shared utility room with laundry facility, tourist information, books, games and a toilet. Children are very welcome - there is a grassy games area where they can play safely. A cot and high chair are available on request.
Ticklepenny is a cosy single storey cottage which provides quality accommodation for two people. The kitchen is galley style, and is well equipped including a microwave. The dining and lounge area is a L shaped room, with television and video. The settee is a sofabed, so there is space for extra guests. The double room is en-suite with shower and bath.
There is a private courtyard area in front of Ticklepenny, with a garden table, chairs and a bar-b-que. Sit back and enjoy the peace and lovely views of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
Ticklepenny is suitable for people with limited mobility as there is a ramped access to the door. Parking is available immediately next to the cottage.

The Louth Canal offers opportunities for fishing and walking along the Tow Path Walk. Canal Farm is on the Lincolnshire Cycle Route. Further afield for day trips are the city of Lincoln, the Humber Bridge, The National Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby, and many more other interesting visitor attractions; information about these will be provided for you.
