The Heart of England / Peak District / Lincolnshire region

Lincolnshire is host to an abundance of activities! Endless walking and cycling routes, including the Viking Way and 125 miles of the Sustrans Hull to Harwich Cycle Route which passes through Lincolnshire joining two ports, hence its popularity with visiting cyclists from overseas.
Rich in aviation history, home to old and new – 617 squadron Dambusters and the Red Arrows. Colour and soft scent cover the county as 150 Gardens and Nurseries open for the season. Scattered throughout the county are many hidden treasures including one of the original four copies of the Magna Carta, housed in Lincoln Castle, the birthplace of the poet Alfred Tennyson and the former home of Sir Isaac Newton. Another must, is sampling a ‘Taste of Lincolnshire’, fresh local produce for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Lincolnshire's weekly markets are thriving and lively. Most shops are still family businesses with skills and recipes handed down through the generations – do try Lincolnshire sausages, plum bread and stuffed chine.
The Louth area
Ideally situated for cycling, walking, fishing and golf – the range of nature and wildlife as soon as you step out of the door never fails to delight! A birdwatcher's paradise, we keep the feeders topped up at all times.
You will witness amazing views, stretching out to Lincolnshire’s rolling Wolds and to Pleasure Island less than 6 miles away in Cleethorpes.
We hire a broad range of cycles and accessories right here on site so that you and your family can all enjoy the serenity of the quiet country lanes at a more leisurely pace.
Being on the edge of the Wolds, we are in an ideal location for all cycling abilities. Stay to the east if you want a gentle day's ride or head just 1 mile west for the hills and vales of the rolling Wolds for a more strenuous experience!
Louth is a thriving town that has maintained its individuality, remaining full of independent shops, markets and tearooms. Well worth a visit! Just on the outskirts of Louth is Hubbards Hills, a wonderful little haven for a stroll along the stream through woods and pastures. Loved by adults and children alike.
There are numerous animal farms in the area for children to meet animals and have fun!
For those looking for thrills and spills, Pleasure Island in Cleethorpes is a good bet. Cadwell Park is always a popular choice for the racing enthusiasts too!
With so much going on in the area one could never be short of things to do! A real haven of peace & tranquillity amazingly just ten minutes drive from the hubbub of Cleethorpes & Grimsby & the more traditional, quiescent appeal of Louth.
