About the home
This bright, comfortable villa features marble flooring throughout and is tastefully furnished with modern and classic pieces. There is a large furnished shaded terrace, a Weber gas grill BBQ, pool's furniture.
The spacious and welcoming house can take six guests in comfort: large living area with fireplace, piano, TV with English language channels, VCR, hifi, CD&DVD player. Well equipped kitchen, en-suite double bedroom with a Queen size bed, one mezzanine with two single beds and en-suite shower-room, one double bedroom which opens onto the terrace and gardens, one separate bathroom and four toilets.
One more bedroom with two beds may be opened on request for two Guests, at extra cost. One cot and one highchair are available. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms and mosquito nets in the all house.
Magnificient view of the valley, the villa is located on a peaceful hill with other houses, the property is inviting, has much privacy and typical mediterranean garden.

All sorts of recreational amenities are available to guests: a large library with English and French books, English and French video-tapes, CD and DVD library, several games (Scrabble, Mastermind, playing cards, a ping-pong table, table football, badminton equipment). The house is centrally heated during winter and the shoulder seasons.

This is an ideal base to explore the region.
Provencal market in the village of Lourmarin every Friday morning.
Numerous day trips are available which will allow the visitor to discover Provence.
Les Baux de Provence is a beautiful Provençal village built on a large rocky outcrop offering a stupendous view over a large plain and the Alpilles mountain range.
Also worth visiting are St-Rémy-de-Provence, a painters' village renowned for its antique stores, and the old quarter of Aix-en-Provence, where one can visit the cathedral of St-Saveur and the studio of the painter Paul Cézanne.
Nîmes is also nearby with its Roman arena and many ancient ruins.
The Lourmarin area
Swimming, Walking, Cycling, Horse Riding, Fishing, shopping, Rock Climbing, Miniature golf, weekly provencal market, restaurants, art galleries, Museums, Theater, Festival of music in July&Aug.
Sites of interest:: The hilled villages, Forêt des Cèdres. To the north is the city of Avignon, once home to the medieval papacy, which still has the spectacular Papal Palace, and the famous bridge of St-Bénézet immortalized in the song Sur le pont d'Avignon. The wine roads are a must-see in a region made famous by Châteauneuf-du-Pape and numerous other Côtes-du-Rhône villages. Lourmarin is an hour from the Mediterranean sea, and among the attractions are the fishing village of Cassis, and the city of Marseille (with boats to the islands of Lerins and Château d'If). Nearby is the Camargue National Park, a great location for bird-watchers and nature lovers. The Riviera and the cities of Nice and Cannes are only two hours away.

“There are few places I would rather be in late Spring than in Provence, and Les Magnanarelles is the perfect rental for a group of 6-8 to call home for a week and base their adventures in this beautiful part of the world. The villa is modern, spacious, welcoming and well maintained. Everything that one needs to live comfortably had been considered by the very agreeable and helpful owners, including an excellent kitchen, library and all sorts of recreational amenities. There is even a piano!
This property is exactly as advertised. You will be greeted by the owners' agent (brush up on your French) and given a tour of the house as well as final instructions on the operation of those perplexing french appliances! After settling in, you will have a chance to take in the magnificent view of the valley and the Luberon mountain, all framed in the property's extensive landscaping.
The villa is located on a hill and is peaceful and inviting. Our group always looked forward to "coming home" in the afternoon from an excursion and relaxing around the pool. Dinners on the patio were a highlight of the day.
The lovely village of Lourmarin is only about 1 km away, and an easy walk if you don't mind the hill on the way back! Lourmarin has plenty to offer including a number of good restaurants and the best market we experienced while in Provence.
