Casaanna is a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom country house surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside of mainly agricultural land and orchards being spacious it is ideal for families and is beautifully furnished in a contemporary design.
There are three bedrooms upstairs, two having en-suites and each having a balcony a twin bedroom with a bathroom adjacent and downstairs is another twin bedroom and shower room. There is a comfortable double sofa bed in the lounge with privacy by double doors.
The lounge is bright and spacious with three patio doors overlooking the countryside and gardens.The kitchen/dining room has a dining table to seat eight people comfortably, two patio doors lead to the gardens and the patio terrace with a built in BBQ area, ideal for dining alfresco. The patio and swimming pool areas are all south facing so you can enjoy full sun all day, there are a few steps leading up to the 10 x 5m swimming pool and large poolside room (naya) which houses a 7ft pool table ideal for family recreation ,the naya also provides an ideal location for providing shade, dining alfresco or just relaxing on a sun bed taking in the stunning countryside views.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region
Although the climate is hot and sunny in it never gets unbearingly hot in July/August (unlike the Costas of Spain) The Atlantic Coast is a popular holiday destination for the Portuguese otherwise it is relatively unknown, so, you can find a nice spot on an uncrowded beach even in the summertime.
Casaanna is situated in the Lisbon/Silver coast region referred to as the tourist region of the "Oeste ," and covers the area of eleven districts located between the mountains of Serra de Montejunto and the Atlantic Ocean an area of very ancient origins and for those looking for more than a relaxing beach holiday it is an ideal location to visit many historic towns and World Heritage Sites.
The great abbeys of Alcobaca and Batalha, the sanctuary of Fatima (a pilgrim destination on a par with Lourdes) palaces of Mafra and Sintra, the mediaeval town of Obidos, the Berlenga Island nature reserve are a just a few of the cultural visits within a short drive.
Lisbon is also only a short drive away, (or you can take the regular bus service from Lourinha which takes about an hour) then you can hop on and off the yellow open top buses or historic trams that take you to see the most beautiful and historic sites of the city,alternatively you can take one of the excellent walking tours guided by Lisbon loving locals, each walk taking between 2 and 3 hours.
Whether you want to relax in a peaceful private location and enjoy the uncrowded beaches, explore the many places of interest or take part in many of the outdoor activities Casaanna is the perfect location to suit all members of the family.
Lourinha / Toledo, Portugal area
Casaanna is situated on the edge of the village of Toledo and 5 minutes drive to the Spa village of Vimeiro famous for the healing properties of its water. The natural beauty of the area is ideal for visitors seeking to come into contact with nature and rural life. There are numerous (Blue Flag) beaches ,the area being internationally famous for its surfing. There are two hotels locally, the Hotel das Termas 5 minutes drive and the Hotel Golf Mar 10 minutes drive, located near the beaches of Santa Rita and Porto Novo
The beaches of Santa Cruz and Porto Dineiro are 15 minutes drive. Vimeiro has two events in August one being the remembrance of the Battle of Vimeiro, (commanded by the Duke of Wellington) when the Naploleonic army invaded the area and suffered a heavy defeat and the internationally famous European equestrian events that take place admission free.)
For those wanting to be more active there are numerous signposted walks in the area the nearest only a few minutes from the house, the distances range from just 3km to 17km upwards. The parque of Fonta Lima is one of the short walks of 3 km, a park built around a natural spring in a leafy area of 10000m2 encompassing picnic , bbq areas and children's park, where you can take in the panoramic views.
The towns of Lourinha and Torres Vedras are only 10 /15 minutes drive where you can find all the amenities necessary eg. banks, shops, supermarkets. The town of Lourinha has lots of cultural heritage here you can find the Praia Areia Branca beach , the surrounding area being known as the "dinosaur coast." The museum in the town centre contains the biggest Iberian collection of dinosaur fossils in the world. Peniche is only 20 minutes drive here you can sample the local gastronomy in one of the many seafood restaurants or take a boat trip to the Berlenga Islands.
The medieval town of Obidos (30 min drive) also hosts many events in July/August. Casaanna offers all the privacy you need for a perfect family "getaway" in an area with a spectacular coastline and scenery ,where you pay Portuguese prices.
