Only 45-50 minutes by car from Lisbon airport and just south of the larger holiday town and fishing port of Peniche. Praia da Areia Branca is only a 5 minute drive from the larger town of Lourinha, with its cobbled streets, traditional shops and plenty of restaurants this is a lovely and convenient getaway. Overall, the area offers an extensive choice of beaches, historical towns and national park, appealing to visitors of all ages and interests. Whether you are looking for world class surf breaks, Portuguese culture or just a quiet base from where you can explore the region and relax, this house is ideal for everyone.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region
The Costa de Prata (Silver Coast) is a lush, unspoiled and traditional area of Portugal with a beautiful coastline and a variety of beaches and bays for bathing and surfing.
Praia da Areia Branca is a traditional Portuguese coastal village, with a variety of local activities and amenities.
The closest larger town is Lourinha, 5km away (5 minutes by car) and offers a wider selection of traditional shops, restaurants and bars. The larger holiday town and fishing port of Peniche is 15km.
The delightful medieval walled town of Obidos is 25km and a perfect day trip!
For a city day-trip for sightseeing and shopping, Lisbon is only 45-50 minutes away.
Lourinha area
The local beach, Praia da Areia Branca (8 mins walk), is a long, sweeping sandy beach suitable for bathing and surfing. Idyllic sheltered and peaceful coves can be found just minutes drive along the coast.
Excellent surf beaches both north and south of the area, including the famous "Supertubos" near Peniche (10-15 mins drive).
There are 2 all-weather tennis courts, available for public use, next to the house, along with the colourful children's' playground.
There are 3 golf courses within a 20km radius, including Atlantico (9 hole), Termas do Vimeiro (18 hole) and the award-winning Praia del Rey (18 hole) championship course.
There is also mini-golf available in the village and a local surf school. A go-kart track is a short drive away.
How to get there
Lisbon International Airport (LIS) is only 45-50 minutes drive away on the new A8 motorway. Flights available from British Airways, TAP, Easyjet, BMIBaby, Monarch and Ryanair. Although travel by bus to Lourinha is possible (1 hour), a hire car is recommended for convenience.
