About the home

Casa Mack is located amongst rolling hills and countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the traditional tourist resorts. You are guaranteed a quiet and relaxed atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The nearest village is Benafim (3 mins drive) and a little further on you will find the beautiful picturesque village of Alte with it's charming cobbled streets and whitewashed houses.

Casa Mack is a beautiful luxury villa set in it's own grounds, with private pool, in a peaceful country location set in the mountains.

The garden has many fruit trees for your pleasure. It is also well planted with many varieties of local Algarvian shrubs and flowers. The garden also boasts many shaded and sunny areas for you to relax in. There are ample outside tables, chairs and sun loungers.There are lots of books and magazines for your use.

The charming en suite master-bedroom with king size bed is upstairs, and has a commanding view of the surrounding countryside and nearby hills from it's own private terrace The remaining bedrooms are downstairs.

The villa has a huge lounge with two sets of French doors leading to the pool and gardens. A separate kitchen is well equipped with all you require for the perfect holiday. Hot water is always to hand as the property also features solar power.

Further details outdoors:
There is a private secluded pool with adjoining small toddler pool. Both are fenced for child safety. There is also an outside shower attached.

There is a large covered barbecue with an outside kitchen area. This is fully equipped with sink, fridge, cutlery, delph and all you'll need for al fresco dining at the marble table.

In the evenings you can sit out and unwind with a cool drink. Listen to the owls calling, and all the other wonderful sounds of the Portugese countryside.

Salir, Messines, and Silves are other towns within the locality, that are certainly worth a visit. All with plenty of low cost but high quality restaurants and local bars. The town of Loule is just a 15 min drive away. Make sure you visit the gypsy market here on Saturday mornings.

The resorts of Villamoura, Quarteria and Albufeira along with their many beaches and golf courses are all within 30 mins drive from the house. In the surrounding hills you will find many varieties of different fruits and nuts amongst the orange, peach and lemon groves. This truly is a magical location!

Carriers include BA, Easyjet, Monarch, BMI, Jet 2, TUI, TAP Ryan Air Aer Lingus

From Irl - Ryanair and Aer Lingus fly all year round. Other carriers and charters operate during Summer months.
The villa is approx 30 mins by car or taxi.

We can assist with car hire, please enquire. Taxi rank is outside airport and a taxi will cost approx 40Euros.

Lisbon is less than 3 hours away by car for clients wishing to fly to Lisbon Airport and Seville Airport is also less than 3 hours away by car.

“For a restful & relaxing holiday, Casa Mack (and it's owners) won't let you down.” Although only 30/40 minutes drive from Faro Airport and some of the beaches of the Algarve, Casa Mack's location in a small hamlet ensures that visitors always have peace and tranquility. The owners, Pauline & Fintan, are 2 of the friendliest and most helpful people you could wish to meet, and are on hand not only to welcome you to their villa but in case any problem should arise during your stay. The villa itself is clean, comfortable and spacious and is an excellent choice for those who wish to holiday away from the busier resorts and yet be within reasonable driving distance of them. There a several good restaurants in and around the area and Fintan will be only too pleased to point them out to you. This was our second visit in 2 years to Casa Mack and if I were to return to the Algarve it would my first choice again. Our 20-years-old granddaughter came with us this time and she would endorse everything I have said.
