About the home

Casa Das Carters offers sole access to a private pool which is on the same level as the apartment. The large sun terrace surrounding the pool area contains bbq, sun beds, table and benches ideal for al fresco dining. An additional feature is a large seated well area, although the well is sealed for safety. There is a small terrace at the front of the studio apartment facing out across the picturesque hills of Querenca. Additionally, there is a rear covered terrace which offers an alternative eating area whilst overlooking the pool, garden and large sun terrace. Adjacent to the terrace is a very pretty garden, with indigenous trees, shrubs, flowers and lawn.

The property itself is approximately 200m to the village square, which has 2 bars, restaurant, small shop, post office, tourist information centre, water museum and church. The village of Querenca is on the edge of a national conservation park perfect for those who like walking and hiking, with some beautiful trails especially along the river to Fonte Benemola For those who enjoy shopping, the historical town of Loule with its medieval castle walls, is a 10 minute drive away and throughout the year holds many cultural activities. A bus service operates from Querenca to Loule. A further 10 minute drive from Loule will bring you to a variety of beautiful sandy beaches. Faro Airport is just 30 minutes away from the property. The whole area offers an extensive range of excellent restaurants varying in style and with prices to meet all budgets.

The bright and airy 65sq metre air conditioned studio apartment with its cloistered roof comprises of a kitchen area which has fitted cupboards, worktop, sink and drainer, with glassware, china, cutlery, microwave, refrigerator (with ice box), toaster, kettle, espresso/cappuccino maker, iron and ironing board. The seating area offers 2 sofas, coffee table, television, sky satellite, dvd player, stereo that plays radio, cd’s and tapes. For sleeping there is a large double bed which can separate into 2 full size single beds and a further 2 full size single beds which convert down into a single day bed or further seating, individual bedside cabinets, 2 double wardrobes (plenty of hangers and a hairdryer), chest of drawers with large mirror above. The fully equipped tiled bathroom has a bath with shower over, w.c., bidet and wash basin with illuminated mirror.
An electronic security safe which can be programmed with your own security code is fitted for the use of our guests. For your safety a smoke alarm and fire extinguisher have been installed.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

The Algarve is well known for its blue sky and sunshine, making it an ideal holiday destination throughout the year. Average daytime temperatures range during winter from 14-20 degrees and during the summer months June-September, 25-35 degrees, sometimes higher!
The Central Algarve region really does have something to suit everyone, beaches, historical towns, waterparks, shopping centres, potteries, traditional villages nestled into the hills, vineyards, orange groves, olive trees, beautiful churches and much more

The Loule / Querenca area

During the day there are a range of activities - whether you want to just relax and sit in the sun and read a book or enjoy the variety of excellent sandy beaches the area has to offer; play golf on one of the many top, world class courses; have fun at the water parks (Aquashow, the closest offers the largest roller coaster water ride in Europe, or swim with dolphins at Zoomarine); enjoy scuba diving; deep sea fishing; take a boat trip; hire a bicycle; go-karting; horse riding, you will find them all in the Algarve.
At night the vast array of restaurants and cuisines beckon, offering a wide range of cullinary experiences whether you are looking for somewhere simple to eat, a romantic evening, traditional fayre, lively environment, bar, casino, club or disco, all can be found in the region.
The warm evenings of summer lend themselves to open air concerts, festas celebrating many local events. White Night in Loule at the end of August is a recently added 'must' to the social calendar.

We are now definitely back to reality, work busy and not easy in 75 degrees with no AC!

I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at the villa 2 weeks ago.

Your hospitality was above and beyond anything we expected, you made us feel very welcome. The villa itself is beautiful, really well equipped and spotlessly clean. We honestly couldn't have asked for more at such brilliant value for money. We most certainly managed to have a well deserved rest as planned.
