O Pomazinho is located on the Goldra hillside with stunning panoramic sea views. This idyllic location offers the best of all worlds. Quiet and peaceful, yet only fifteen minutes from Faro airport, golden beaches and the world class golf resorts at Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Vilamoura. It has easy access to all amenities, including the local markets for bargain hunting and many excellent restaurants.

Our beautiful private Villa has its own pool, garden and play area, perfect for the children. Natalia, our housekeeper, looks after O Pomazinho and its guests and she is happy to baby-sit by arrangement. Our gardener looks after the gardens and the pool. With spacious lounge and dining room, two double, two twin bedrooms plus two large bunk beds and two travel cots, the villa is ideal for families. There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, such as attractive villages to explore as well as numerous activities including water parks, karting and golf.

Upper Level

• A large entrance hall leads into the living area, which has a spacious lounge and conservatory-style dining room from which you can enjoy the spectacular views. Through the French windows you enter a partly shaded patio and a balcony where you may eat al fresco and enjoy the sun. Steps lead down to the pool and garden.

• The kitchen is part open-plan so that whoever is in there can join in the fun, with easy access to the dining area. It is very well equipped with generous refrigeration, microwave, dishwasher and gas hob/fan assisted oven. There is plenty of glassware, crockery and cutlery, etc.

• The standard of furnishing throughout is of high quality with hi-fi, satellite TV and DVD equipment together with a surround sound system in the living area.

• Two log fires and a unique under-floor heating system provide heating when necessary.

• There is a family suite on this level consisting of a double room with en suite shower and toilet and an adjoining bedroom containing two large bunk beds.

• Plug sockets throughout are UK three pin and there are ceiling fans in every room

Lower level

• The swimming pool separates two wings of the villa containing three other bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.

• The master bedroom with huge kingsize bed is in the east wing and the two bedrooms in the west wing have twin beds.

• Two travel cots are available for tiny visitors.

• Bed-linen and towels are provided. However, guests are requested to bring their own beach towels.

• The pool, which can be heated during cooler months, has plenty of sunbeds and seating arrangements. There is also a bar with a refrigerator and sink.

• There is a large shaded verandah where guests can relax on luxury patio furniture and enjoy the views of the sea, towards the golf resorts of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo.

• The barbecue in the garden is just a few steps down from the pool. It incorporates a traditional bread oven for those who would like to experiment with local cooking methods!

• Ample car parking including carport.

The Algarve region

This is, without doubt, one of the best tourist destinations and family holiday areas in the world!

There is something for everyone from world-class golf courses to surfing on the wild west coast beaches. Portimao's new Formula One racetrack and Faro's top class Euro 2004 football ground show the region's increasing international status and appeal. 'Spot the celebrity' is also a major sport!

For an unforgettable day out, go dolphin watching from Vilamoura, take a boat trip and picnic on Tavira Island's fantastic beaches or visit one of the numerous Waterparks.

Enjoy the scenery on the drive up to the Monchique mountains with its forests of fragrant eucalyptus and umbrella pines through unspoilt inland country towns and villages totally unaffected by the passage of time. The most beautiful aspect of the Algarve is the friendliness of its people.

Loule

Historically, Loulé is one of the most important towns in the Algarve. Today it remains a charming town with all modern amenities including a Leisure Centre, two large supermarkets and excellent shopping facilities.

Walk through the narrow cobbled streets or along the Avenida (Boulevard) dotted with a wide choice of shops, cafes and restaurants. Visit the famous food market on a Saturday in the beautifully restored Market Hall with its amazing selection of fish, meat and fresh local produce.The best value in the Algarve can be found here, from shoes to textiles and local artefacts such as pottery, copperware and cane furniture.

Throughout the year there are numerous festivals and processions. The 'must see' event in February is the magnificent Rio-style Loule Carnival, famous for its incredible satirical floats and exotic Brazilian dancers!

"A, spacious, relaxing hide-away sun kissed with magnificent views"

The villa has plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the outdoors and alfresco eating, all with stunning views of the sea.
Its well appointed with modern electric equipment, especially in the kitchen !!
The villa has a helpful English speaking maid who is very friendly as is the owners son the lovely Tim who is contactable for advice and help if needed.
The villa is located close to lovely beaches, golf clubs and super places to eat!
I liked best - the villa is a great place to chill and unwind where you can do as much or as little as you wish! A great holiday!!

"Great Place for Friends to meet and unwind"

Excellent space and comfort. Everyone extremely helpful and considerate. Makes an ideal holiday centre for both visiting the Algarve or simply relaxing. Convenient for all amenities. Not convenient for those with mobility issues.

"Absolutely Perfect"

We first visited O'Pomazhino in 2006 and have returned every year since. The villa is perfectly situated on the hillside above Loule, and we would recommend this Villa to anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday within easy reach of the beach; although a car is essential. There is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy their own space, and Natalia the maid is a gem. Having travelled all over the world this is the only place we have returned to, and would be happy to holiday here every year; its fantastic.

"Superb villa in a great location, convenient yet away from the madding crowd"

O Pomazinho is in a perfect location, on a hillside overlooking the sea - a private and relatively secluded site, yet close to the major roads, airport and coast. The property design and build is impressiive, with spacious and airy rooms, secluded alcoves and verandas and a perfect pool and shaded dining and sitting out area. Close proximity to Loule shopping, tourist sites and many good restaurants.
Whilst there is no air-con, portable units and fans were readily available. O'Pomazinho was obviously built as a family home and is well managed, maintained and cleaned. Some of the fiitings are showing their age but this merely adds to the character. A great holiday villa!

"Gorgeous villa with a wonderful atmosphere in an idyllic location."

The villa is beautifully furnished and decorated in a luxurious, traditional Portuguese
style. The layout with central living areas and separate bedroom wings made sharing a villa easy. The many different sunny and shady terraces offered peace and privacy when needed with the pool being the central focus of outdoor living.

The location is stunning, high on a hillside with fantastic views of the coastline. Sunsets are amazing. The villa is hidden away from the main road up a narrow but well surfaced private road but is not isolated and the shops and restaurants are easily accessible by car.


The owners could not have been more helpful and provided all the information we needed on trips out, restaurants etc. The property, pool, terraces and gardens were immaculately maintained and we received a great welcome from the housekeeper who made our stay most enjoyable.

"Fantastic villa, amazing location with fantastic views"

The villa is a 15-20 minute drive from the Airport and is situated on a hillside overlooking the Algarve with amazing views stretching down to the coast and beyond. It is situated in a very quiet secluded area yet is still only a short drive from local restaurants and bars. The market town of Loule is a little over five minutes drive away with a range of shops and a large supermarket for any provisions required.

The villa is large, spacious, tastefully decorated with a full range of amenities including en suites to every room, well stocked kitchen, television, DVD, CD player and internet access. All bedrooms are large, light and airy with Portugese en suite facilities and 'walk in' showers and at least three of the bedrooms also have a separate dressing area.

Outside the villa continues to impress with a good sized salt water pool (be ready for this when you first dive in!) complete with full veranda, sun loungers, shaded areas (if required) and bbq facilities - which I'd thoroughly recommend taking advantage of at least once!

Natalia the housekeeper is brilliant,! Any dirty clothes left out tend to reappear the next day washed and dried and she takes great pride in the cleanliness of the villa, she is bright and friendly and a real character.

All in all I can't fault anything, the whole process from initial contact to arriving was straightforward and easy.
