Casa Louisa is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom luxury villa in a quiet Portuguese rural location. The villa has its own heated, saltwater swimming pool, a lovely private garden and panoramic views of the surrounding hills and sea. The current owners purchased the villa from new in 2006 and, until now, it has only been used for their own family holidays. It is consistently maintained to high standards.
Being only 20 minutes drive from Faro airport and 15 minutes from the beautiful breathtaking beaches and 5 star golf courses of Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Vilamoura, it is in an ideal location to appreciate all that the Algarve has to offer.
The villa is secure with gates and security alarm and is equipped with Satellite TV, DVD player, air conditioning/heating and a log burner for the winter months. There is a bougainvillea covered pergola for shaded parking.
On the ground floor is the lounge with comfortable and stylish leather sofas and 4 sets of full length patio doors that open onto the terrace and stunning views. There is a dining area which leads through to the fully equipped luxury kitchen with fridge/freezer, cooker, dishwasher, microwave, wine cooler and breakfast bar. Also on the ground floor are a double ensuite bedroom and a twin room and a family bathroom. All the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and bedside tables with lamps and drawers.
From the entrance hallway, a staircase leads to the master, ensuite bedroom with large secluded terrace overlooking the swimming pool and balcony with full length patio doors to pause and appreciate the magnificent views.
The lounge and bedrooms are spacious, comfortable and fully air-conditioned. There is an ironing board and iron for use and a hairdryer in the master bedroom.
Outside the villa is a large garden with a large lawn perfect for children to play whilst taking a break from the saltwater, heated swimming pool with solar operated cover.
It is equipped with garden furniture and BBQ in the garden which has olive, fig and almond trees and shaded and unshaded areas.
There are steps from the terrace leading down to a garage, log pile, pool room and parking for an additional car.
Like most locations in the Algarve, car hire is essential to travel to nearby markets, supermarkets, waterparks etc as the villa is situated in Sitio dos Quartos which, with the neighbouring Vale D'Eguas, retain a traditional Portuguese atmosphere.

The Algarve region
The Algarve has approximately 5412 square km and is also the home of the Ria Formosa lagoon, a nature reserve of over 170 square kilometres and a stopping place for hundreds of different birds. The length of the south-facing coastline is approximately 155 kilometres. Beyond the westernmost point of Cape St. Vincent it stretches a further 50 kilometres to the north. The coastline is notable for picturesque limestone caves and grottoes, particularly around Lagos, which are accessible by powerboat.
The Algarve has several cities, towns and villages: the region's capital is the city of Faro, while other cities include Albufeira, Lagoa, Lagos, Loulé, Olhão, Portimão, Quarteira, Silves, Tavira, and Vila Real de Santo António, in addition to various summer retreats such as Vilamoura, Praia da Rocha, Armação de Pêra, Alvor, Monte Gordo, Tavira, and Sagres.
The maximum recorded temperatures in the Algarve fluctuate between 25 °C (77 °F) in winter and 48 °C (118 °F) in summer, with the temperature almost never falling below zero in the winter months.
Agricultural products of the region include fig, almond, orange, carob bean, strawberry tree and cork oak. Horticulture is important and the region's landscape was known for the large areas of land covered with plastic greenhouses which are used for that end. Fishing and aquaculture are important activities in the coastal area of Algarve, with sardines, soles, cyprinids, gilt-head bream and various seafood, including the grooved carpet shell, being the major productions. Algarve's wines are also renowned. Tourism related activities are extensive and make the bulk of Algarve's economy during summer time. The Algarve's economy has always been closely linked to the sea, and fishing has been an important activity since ancient times. Only since the 1960s, has the region embraced tourism, which has become its most important economic activity.
The Algarve is famous for its pottery and ceramics, particularly hand-painted pottery and azulejos or tiles. There are numerous ceramics and pottery outlets throughout the Algarve. For working potteries/ceramics workshops the main, or best-known, pottery centers are located in the towns of Almancil, Porches and Loulé. But there are many other potteries and workshops in the Algarve region.
The Algarve is a popular destination for tourism, primarily because of its beautiful beaches, amazing climate, bustling towns, breathtaking scenery and local cuisine.
Casa Louisa is situated between the towns of Almancil and Loule.
Almancil boasts quality restaurants, excellent golf courses, popular pastelarias, go-karting, post office, banks and various supermarkets including Apolonia which is an international family owned supermarket selling everything you might need.
Whilst Loule is an active market town with some remains of a castle dating back to the 12th century. Fish, meat, fruit and vegetables markets are held weekly as well as a separate gypsy market It is a typically quaint Portuguese town with cobbled streets, Roman ruins, art galleries and is also a great place to shop and eat. Further larger supermarkets can be found in Loule.
Beaches can be reached within a 15 min drive from the villa
Golf courses within 15 mins drive include Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo.
Faro airport is approximately 20 mins from the villa. Car hire is essential.
Within short distances of the villa you can find horse riding, water sports, "Aquashow" water park, "Zoomarine" theme park.
Faro is only a 10 minute train journey and, for a lively evening, head to Vilamoura Marina for bars, restaurants, casino, mini-golf, shopping etc.
