The Quintassential Algarve Holiday apartment cottages are 4 self catering apartment cottages, 1200 feet above sea level in the Central Algarve all with sea views & equipped, furnished & decorated to very high standards & 15 minutes from the airport.
The Quintassential is open all year round so that guests can enjoy the 3000 hours of sunshine the Algarve has to offer. We understand that with low cost airlines it may be better to travel on days other than Sunday or Thursday, so we are flexible with our arrival and departure days.
The apartment cottages can be let individually or together for large parties and the cottages cater from 2 – 13 people and there is large pool, heated during the winter months and a freestanding hot tub spa jacuzzi. Two of the accommodations also have gas central heating.
The Quintassential occupies an acre of hilltop set, totally fenced and accessed via electric gates in breathtaking Algarvian countryside in the centre of the sunny Algarve in total peace & tranquillity 15 minutes from Faro International Airport & the coast and overlooking the market town of Loulé. There are spectacular panoramic sea views from Faro to Portimao. Parts of the Quintassential date back to mid 19th Century and are divided up into four cottages, one large two bedroom apartment cottage, two newer one bedroom apartment cottages, and a rustic one bedroom duplex cottage. All have their own separate entrances, own kitchens, private south-facing sun terraces and Bar-B-Q areas. All accommodations have been furnished to a very high standard with cane and pine furniture. The owners of the Quintassential occupy the fifth accommodation and are to hand should you require any help, but their promise to their guests is that they will never infringe on your privacy.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve located in Southern Portugal has over 300 days of sun, with excellent hospitality and something for everyone to do. With magnificent blue flag beaches, world famous golf courses, aquaparks, the list is endless.
Loule is a market town with a famous market where local traders sell their produce, a famous gypsy market where you can barter your way to excellent bargains, leather handbags, leather shoes, beautiful linen table clothes. Being slightly inland, here you get to experience the real Algarve and travel just ten minutes north of Loule, it is as if time has stood still.

Loule is centrally located making this the ideal base to explore the beautiful, magical Algarve.
The Quintassential is located 2 minutes drive north of the market town of Loule with marvellous views from Faro through to Portimao. Here is the ultimate place to relax and unwind in peace and tranquility. The gardens are a haven for bird watchers and every morning and afternoon you will see the local shepherd take his flock grazing past the Quintassential.
Close to the Quintassential there are many places of interest, Querence, Salir, Alte and for those wishing to get to waterparks, beaches, golf courses, this is all accessible within a 10 minute drive.
How to get there
The nearest airport is Faro International Airport with many scheduled flights and charter flights. Alternatively Lisbon International Airport is also an option and only a 2 hour drive from the Algarve. The local train station Loule is a 10 minute drive from the Quintassential. Loule bus station is only a 2 minute drive from the Quintassential.

Further details indoors: The Lemon Cottage is one of the newer apartment cottages at the Quintassential, a light and airy one bedroom cottage with a large bedroom that has a double bed, large ceiling fan, digital security safe & patio doors leading on to the sun terrace. The bedroom is large enough to also accommodate a single bed too or this can be used in the lounge area of a night time. The bathroom has a new luxury bathroom with shower, washbasin with vanity units under, WC, bidet and shaver point.
The spacious lounge/diner is decorated tastefully with pine furniture and has a large comfy leather sofa, 36 inch widescreen TV, Satellite TV (UK free to view channels), video (small selection of videos available), DVD player (small selection of DVD’s), radio/CD player (guests to bring own CDs), puzzles, chess set, playing cards, Domino set and patio doors leading onto a private terrace with tables and chairs, brick Bar-B-Q’s and reclining chairs. The Lemon Cottage has the added benefit of it’s own lemon tree on the terrace to give you added shade.
The brand new modern kitchenette comprise of fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, mini electric oven, electric kettle, coffee filter machine, hand held electric blender, toaster, mini electric oven and electric hob.
The Lemon Cottage sleep a maximum of 3 people in each and this cottage has the added benefit of gas central heating for the cooler winter months. This is already included in the price.
The Extras We Provide - On arrival the owners will meet you and awaiting your arrival will be a very generous welcome hamper in your accommodation compliments of the house for guests staying a week or longer. For all the adult guests, bathrobes are provided for use during their stay, pool towels are provided to use only at the Quintassential and the apartment cottages have hairdryers, alarm clocks, irons and ironing boards. Guests will need to bring their own beach towels.
The Quintassential Cottages are non-smoking cottages and car hire is essential.

The Lemon Cottage is one of two idential accommodations available at the Quintassential.
We do everything possible to ensure that families with children have a holiday that is both fun and relaxing. With children of our own we know how important it is to keep kids happy and entertained on holiday, within a safe and secure environment. The Quintassential is totally fenced and accessed via electric gates, so a very safe place. There is a lot of space for children to play and to discover nature, play with Alfie our children loving dog, we have two dogs and three cats in total.
The apartment cottages are all separated from the pool area, the pool area is enclosed and gated to give parents of toddlers that extra piece of mind.
We have a children’s play area available from June 2008 designed for little ones situated on a large lawned area amongst an orange grove. There is a slide, swings, seesaw, playhouse etc, this area adds an exciting dimension for all the visiting children and keeps them occupied for hours. There is also a seating area for adults to relax, unwind and top up their tans.
For babies we have baby paddling pools to use on our pool terrace or your accommodations private terrace We do not charge for children under the age of 2 and can provide a range of equipment for babies and toddlers free of charge, meaning you can travel lighter! The following equipment can be made available to all our guests on request:

The exclusive Baby Welcome Pack service is designed to reduce the stress of traveling with young children, reduce the amount of extra luggage needed and eliminate the difficulty of searching for familiar baby products in another country.
Little Rascals is based in the central Algarve and stocks a wide range of UK baby products. The Welcome Pack will be delivered free to your accommodation here at the Quintassential prior to your arrival.
Due to the recent changes in baggage allowance by many of the airlines, Little Rascals also hire Travel Cots, Car Seats and Push Chairs.

Further details outdoors: Outside The Quintassential is blessed with panoramic sea views and spectacular countryside views, just what you need for a tranquil and relaxing holiday. The mature gardens at Quintassential are marvellous with many bushes, plants and fruit trees, along with quiet areas to relax and absorb the views. When the fruit trees are in season, the owners come round with freshly picked fruit – they are delicious.
The Quintassential has a large heated pool area, the pool measures 10 x 5 m and cushioned sun loungers, parasols etc are provided for the use of the guests. The Quintassential now also boasts on the pool terrace its own outdoor hot tub spa Jacuzzi for guest use, a wonderful way to get rid of those aches and pains. The pool is heated during the cooler months from 1st October until 30th April and there is no additional charge for heating the pool.
From May 2008 the Quintassential will also have a children’s play area with swings, slide, see-saw, children’s play house all set amidst an orange grove. For those of you who are a little more energetic, there will also be a professional size table tennis table and table football available for guest use.
