This was our (I can't remember) visit to this fabulous cottage, the owners are particularly helpful and friendly, the cottage has everything you might n eed for a week or 2 weeks holiday including a basket with essentials for your first day stay, including wine!! Thed views are spectacular and the hopt tub, after a swim in the pool is luxurious. They have a special running from November to March which ikncludes car hire and IK would recommend anyone to try and visit this lovely place, its about 20 mins from the airport very near a lovely little place called Loule, which has loads of cafes and restaurants, and a fantastic indoor market where you ccan buy fresh v eg and fish.

"A peaceful retreat within easy reach of beaches, shopping and restaurants"
We returned to The Quintassential for a well needed relaxing summer break. And as usual it didn't disappoint. Beautiful views, wonderful cottage, delightful owners and a great pool and hot-tub gave us all we required.
Just a few couple of kilometres outside of Loulé, perched on a hill top above this delightful market town, beaches are a short drive away as is shopping, water parks and, of course, a wide variety of great restaurants.
Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

"Lovely self-catering cottages in the quintessential Algarve"
The Quintassential is an outstandingly lovely base for a self-catering holiday if you want a base in the real Algarve, away from the coastal resort strip. It is a development of only four cottages, based on an old farmhouse, set in its own beautiful gardens at an altitude of about 250 metres, a couple of kilometres north of the market town of Loule. The cottages are clean, well maintained and well equipped; all face south with splendid views over the garden and towards the coast and each has a semi-private sitting-out area. There is a generous-sized pool, kept in immaculate condition, a hot-tub, and a childrens' play area (conveniently out of direct sight from the cottages!). The owners, Rosa and Mick, live on site and are available most of the time for advice and ideas; they are delightful people, and go out of their way to make you feel you are staying with friends. The Quintassential is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful (and surprisingly thinly populated) countryside of the Algarve, and also has easy access to the coast, with the advantage that you are guaranteed a quiet evening and night on returning from your day's explorations. Highly recommended!
Thank you so much for taking the time to let others know about your stay here at The Quintassential. It was an absolulte pleasure to welcome you both back to the Quintassential. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you explored our beautiful surroundings. We hope to be able to welcome you both back to the Quintassential in the not too distant future, hopefully not leaving it another six years to return. All the best to you both from us all at The Quintassential.

As usual a fantastic holiday at these cottages, warm welcome as always from Rosa and Mike, booked again for next year I think that says it all!
Thank you once more for taking the time to let others know about your stay here at The Quintassential. It is always a pleasure to welcome you both back to the Quintassential, we all look forward to it and so do our four legged members of the family, especially Alfie. Following your last visit he kept looking for you and waiting by the Carob Cottage door!!! He was a little down in the dumps for a few days. Looking forward to welcoming you back for you 24th and 25th return visits next May and September, that's if we can not tempt you back sooner.

"Another visitor that has not yet received there "returnable deposit" 2 months later"
The place is exactly as advertised very quaint , no problems at all except for not returning the deposit which is disappointing ,no one answers mobile or landline and the last response was a month ago… More
Many thanks for taking the time to review your stay here at the Quintassential. May I just highlight events as they factually occured so that people have all the facts.
Firstly and most importantly I do believe from our bank that you are now in safe receipt of your damages deposit in full, but as yet, I am yet to hear from you to confirm this as requested earlier this week. The funds were received in your account on Monday 21st October 2013, your review received date, Friday 25th October 2013.
On your departure date of 19th August 2013, we asked for you to forward your account details which we only received from you on 21st September 2013. The transfer was completed on the 27th September 2013, the date of our next bank run which we complete on a Friday, however, looking back through our records and this confirmed by our bank, an error was made by us where we entered one digit incorrectly, alas the funds not reaching your account but someone elses. As already relayed to you in a private email, we assume complete responsibility for the human input error and have apologised for the inconvenience this has caused you. Your next contact with us informing us that you had not received the funds was on the evening of 19th October 2013 and we contacted our bank immediately upon our return to the Quintassential (we were away from the Algarve at the time) on Monday 21st October 2013 and the matter was rectified immediately. I emailed you back to inform you of the situation and have been assured by our bank that you are in receipt of the funds. I also asked you to confirm safe receipt, for which I am still awaiting a reply to date the 25th October 2013. At no point have we received a missed call from you that we are aware of as we keep our guest numbers on our mobile and landline which flags up immediately. If there was no answer from calls as you say, why did you not text as you can set your settings to show confirmation of receipt of text messages?
Once again, our sincere apologies for the manual input error that was made, we are only human and I hope this error never happens again and it was a shame it happened at all, but once we received notification from you of the non receipt of funds, it was acted upon immediately on the next working day (Monday) and within 6 working hours the funds were in your account. With the time lapses between your communication, we were unable to do anymore any quicker.

"Lovely place to stay but poor customer service"
If you're looking for a nice and relaxing holiday with your baby, this is a place to go to. Its rural location in the Algarvian countryside makes it also a perfect 'getaway' holiday. Th… More
Many thanks Peter for taking the time to write a review following your stay with us. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay, it was a pleasure to welcome you and your family to the Quintassential.
I am a little confused as to your final comment as when you left the accommodation as we do with all our guests, we ask for guests to confirm which bank account they would like their funds returned to or if they would like it returned via PayPal. You never sent us any details and we infact we had to chase you up so that we could close our books for the month of July. I am also confused by you saying that we did not answer you calls, we are not aware that you had tried to contact us. What is even more confusing is that I am also in receipt from you confirming your receipt of the returnable damages deposit in full, so your comments are somewhat confusing. I totally agree with you that things like this should not happen, but unfortunately if guests do not provide us with the information required, we are unable to return the deposit.
Once again, many thanks for taking the time to review your stay, but the final comment quite frankly is invalid when we have done everything once we had the information to do so.

"Great cottage in a beautiful setting"
Lovely cottage with sunny terrace, beautiful gardens, and pretty much everything you might need to keep a toddler entertained. As a result, a perfect holiday for the adults too!

Another wonderful holiday at the Quintassential, A great welcome from Rosa, Mick, Sophie and all the animals. If you want a lovely break in fantastic surroundings, look no further, they also cater for babies and children. Unfortunately Malcolm was ill, again!!, and had to spend some time at the local clinic, but they were marvellous, although he had to spend 3 hours on a drip, it wasn't too much trouble for Rosa to come and find out if we were ok, can't be more appreciative of a fantastic hostess. They have promised to book Malcolm into the clinic again next September as he always seems to have to go there every year!!! Thanks Rosa and Mick

As usual this holiday rental did not disappoint, we are always made welcome by Rosa, Mick and Sophie Gulliver and Alfie, Max and Indie (the dogs) are always glad to see us. The accommodation is superb, the welcome basket is as always very welcome when you arrive in the evening, Rosa will also offer to get in a take away meal if wanted, but all we want when we arrive is to sit on the patio with a very large glass of wine and watch the sunset.
Many thanks for taking the time to comment regarding your stay here at the Quintassential.
It is always a pleasure to welcome you both to the Quintassential and I know that one of our dogs especially can't wait for you to come back. Thankfully you do return to the Quintassential twice a year so our dog(s) get to enjoy your company. Our pigs also like your visit as they get little treats!
You can always guarantee a nice chilled glass of Rose is awaiting your arrival and also the other little extras we provide in our welcome hamper.
We look forward to welcoming you both back again in 2013 for your 22nd and 23rd return stay here, May 2012 can not come quick enough. Guests like yourselves (who have become our friends) are the reason why we love doing what we do.
