The Quintassential is an idyllic family holiday home offering the tranquillity of a rural setting which is still central to amenities and local attractions. The Quintassential is located 2 kms north of the market town of Loule perched on a hilltop with magnifcient coastal views from Faro through to Portimao. An oasis of peace and tranquility, this is just the place to relax and recharge the batteries. The property is completed fenced and accessed via electric gates making this an ideal location for a family holiday as too the pool area is gated.
The property is divided into 4 separate, self-contained units: a large two bedroom rustic apartment cottage with its huge south-facing private terrace, two newer one 1 bedroom apartment cottages and our rustic one bedroom cottage that boasts many original features dating back to the 19th century such as the bread oven, stone sink and original floor tiles. The owners live in an attached apartment and are to hand should you require any help but will never infringe on your privacy.
Available separately or together, the Quintassential’s accommodation is individually designed and furnished to a high standard, each offering space and comfort and each with its own private terrace overlooking the gardens and the magnificent sea views beyond. Each apartment cottage has its own brick built barbecue and private entrance. The Quintassential is completely fenced and accessed via electric gates. The pool area is also gated for added safety.
The apartment cottages cater from 2 – 13 people and are ideal for family groups or for those just looking for peace and tranquillity and offers space, privacy and convenience of separate accommodations whilst sharing the outdoor facilities. Children love exploring the grounds and from the spring of 2008, the Quintassential will have the added benefit of a children’s play area within an orange grove, all in a safe environment. Loule is a 15 minute walk from the Quintassential and a mere 2 minute drive. There are an abundance of excellent restaurants within the local area and a superb bar/restaurant 2 minute wlak from the Quintassential. The beautiful beaches at Vilamoura, Quarteira and Vale do Lobo are less than a 10 minutes drive from the Quintassential. All in all, this is a true oasis. The Algarve region
The Quintassential is located 2kms north of the market town of Loule in the Central Algarve. The central location is ideal for those wishing to explore the Algarve with the coast just 10 minutes drive away and so too the many worlkd famous golf courses. Spain can be reached with a 35 minute drive and in the opposite directoin the western Algarve can be reached within a 45 minute drive.
The town of Loule has everyone one would want from a holiday, the famous gypsy Saturday market, the famous daily fish, vegetable and meat market, an abudance of excellent eateries, cafes, supermarkets, a variety of shops, Loule being the best for shoes in the Algarve and also many places of interest, such as the church and churches.
Loule / Cruz da Assumada area
The Quintassential has the added benefit of being only a 2 minute walk from the fantastic L'Auberge restaurant and bar and within a 15 minue walk there are another 3 fine restaurants to discover excellent Portuguese Cusine.
For those not wishing to leave the Quintassential, we are also pleased to announce our agreement with a local dinner company, delivery of three course meals to your accommodation.
How to get there
The Quintassential Apartment Cottages is located in the Central Algarve, 15 minutes from Faro International Airport.
Easyjet, Monarch Airlines, First Choice, Flybe all fly from the UK to the Algarve and information regarding airline carriers flying to the Algarve can be provided at the time of enquiry. Lisbon Airport is also a 2 hour drive away for alternative access to the Algarve.
Car hire information can also be provided at the time of enquiry and we are more than happy to arrange you car hire for your stay at the Quintassential with special discounted rates for our clients.

Further details indoors: Further details indoors: The properties consist of a large 2 bedroom apartment cottage, 1 bedroom rustic duplex cottage and two newer one bedroom accommodations. All the accommodations are furnished and decorated to a very high standard and all bedding and toweling is provided. All the accommodations also have irons, ironing boards, hairdryers and for adult guests, bathrobes are provided. On arrival a generous welcome hamper is provided compliments of the house.
Further details outdoors: All the accommodations have their own private south-facing terraces with brick built BBQ's for al-fresco dining, tables, chairs, parasols and reclining chairs. There is a large pool terrace, heated from 1st October until 30th April at no extra cost and a free standing hot tub jacuzzi for guest use. There are over an acre of garden to explore and enjoy the views with many fruit trees. From spring 2008 there will be a children's play area set amidst an orange grove. All the accommodations have their own parking space within the gated mini complex.
All the accommodations have a wide range of UK reading books and board games. On arrival the owners will meet you and awaiting your arrival will be a very generous welcome hamper in your accommodation compliments of the house. For all the adult guests, bathrobes are provided for use during their stay, pool towels are provided to use only at the Quintassential, and the apartment cottages have hairdryers, alarm clocks, irons and ironing boards. Guests will need to bring their own beach towels.
The Quintassential Cottages are non-smoking cottages and car hire is essential.
Prices from 1st November until 31st March include heating.
The pool is heated during the cooler months from 1st October until 30th April and the is no additional charge for heating the pool.
Further details outdoors: The Quintassential is blessed with panoramic seaviews and spectacular countryside views, just what you need for a tranquil and relaxing holiday. The gardens at Quintassential are marvellous with many bushes, plants and fruit trees, along with quiet areas to relax and absorb the views.
The Quintassential has a large pool area, the pool measures 10 x 5 m and cushioned sun loungers, and parasols etc are provided for the use of the guests. The Quintassential now also boasts at the pool area its own hot tub/Jacuzzi for guest use. The pool is heated during the cooler months from 1st October until 30th April and the is no additional charge for heating the pool.
From spring 2008, the Quintassential will also have the added benefit of children's play area and a seating area close by so that the grown-ups can enjoy the views. There will also be a professional size table tennis table and table football available for guest use.
We do everything possible to ensure that families with children have a holiday that is both fun and relaxing. With children of our own we know how important it is to keep kids happy and entertained on holiday, within a safe and secure environment. The Quintassential is totally fenced and accessed via electric gates, so a very safe place. There is a lot of space for children to play and to discover nature, play with Alfie our children loving dog, we have two dogs and three cats in total.
The apartment cottages are all separated from the pool area, the pool area is enclosed and gated to give parents of toddlers that extra piece of mind.
We have a children’s play area available from June 2008 designed for little ones situated on a large lawned area amongst an orange grove. There is a slide, swings, seesaw, playhouse etc, this area adds an exciting dimension for all the visiting children and keeps them occupied for hours. There is also a seating area for adults to relax, unwind and top up their tans.
For babies we have baby paddling pools to use on our pool terrace or your accommodations private terrace We do not charge for children under the age of 2 and can provide a range of equipment for babies and toddlers free of charge, meaning you can travel lighter! The following equipment can be made available to all our guests on request:

The exclusive Baby Welcome Pack service is designed to reduce the stress of traveling with young children, reduce the amount of extra luggage needed and eliminate the difficulty of searching for familiar baby products in another country.
Little Rascals is based in the central Algarve and stocks a wide range of UK baby products. The Welcome Pack will be delivered free to your accommodation here at the Quintassential prior to your arrival.
Due to the recent changes in baggage allowance by many of the airlines, Little Rascals also hire Travel Cots, Car Seats and Push Chairs.
