Home description

Casa Monte Santa Luzia is suitable for up to 10/12 people, plus 2 cots and 2 high chairs are also available. There are 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms plus a large games room/children’s den. There is a spacious lounge/diner with air conditioning, satellite and plasma TV and free wireless Internet access throughout the Villa. The pool is surrounded by a large terrace and is totally secluded. There is ample pool terrace furniture and a barbeque with table and seating for 10 people on the kitchen terrace. The lounge and bedroom terraces overlook the extensive landscaped gardens and pool. The villa is situated in an excellent location with numerous golf courses and beaches within easy driving distance. Casa Monte Santa Luzia offers a good base for families of all ages, whether they want to explore the Algarve, enjoy the local beaches or just relax around the pool.

The Algarve region

The length of the Algarve´s south-facing coastline is approx.155 kilometres and stretches about 52 kilometres to the north on the west coast. Overall it is approximately 36 kilometres deep. The EN125 main road runs along the whole coast and has now been greatly replaced by the almost parallel motorway "A22" There is one international airport located close to Faro and this conveniently lies in the middle of the Algarve coastline.

There are about 100 sandy attractive beaches washed by the Atlantic Ocean and due to the water currents the sea temperature can often be surprisingly warm even in some of the winter months. Located on the tip of Europe with the vast ocean of the Atlantic as its southern and western border, this enviable position gives this region possibly the most unpolluted climate in the European continent.

The interior from the coast greatly varies in its picturesque appeal due to its variety of fauna, soil and contours. In January and February the coast is painted white with almond blossom shading the many varieties of wild orchids. In March, the heady perfume of orange blossom mixes with the bloom of acacias. During the month of April the bountiful wild flowers give cause to the delightful music of the many colourful birds. May and June is the time to see the raw beauty of the striking bare barks of stripped cork trees in contrast to the palette purple of the jacaranda. July is the time of cherries, strawberries and melons. August and September provide the picking of grapes, figs and almonds. November is for the gathering of chestnuts. Whilst, in December it is time to start picking the famous sweet juicy Algarve oranges which continue through to March.

Away from the coastal plain are the foothills leading up to the highest point of Foia (902 mts.) above the village of Monchique. Also, from this region comes the local brewed drink "Medronho" that is best drunk in one of the many local taverns.


Loule area

Coast/Beach - A good choice of beaches all lie within 20 minutes driving distance. The golden sandy beaches around Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo, Quarteira and Vilamoura are all easily accesible.

Golf - Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Vilamoura golf courses are all within easy driving distance, as are some of the less well known or public courses.

Loule - is a bustling market town steeped in history and providing excellent shopping facilities and restaurants. The Villa is well situated for access to all the main roads including the motorway, therefore providing opportunities to explore further afield.

CHILD FRIENDLY - stair gates are fitted to contain small children and the patio area is gated to keep little ones safe. our facilities include cots, bed guard, high chairs, children's cutlery and plates, baby bath and potties etc

Further details outdoors:
The private pool (10m x 5m) is surrounded by a large terrace and there are pathways leading to extensive landscaped gardens. There is ample terrace furniture and a good sized barbecue. Pool heating is available at an additional cost.

The owner’s kindly request that guests respect their wishes that Casa Monte Santa Luzia remains a "Non Smoking" Villa inside, however smokers may feel free to smoke on the terraced areas outside.


Further details

Booking requires a 20% deposit payable at time of booking. The rental balance and £500 returnable damages deposit is due no later than six weeks prior to arrival. A copy of our full Booking Conditions is available.

Our preferred change over day is Thursday, but outside of peak season we will try to accommodate especially during school holiday times. Normal arrival time is 4pm and departure time is 10am hours.

What a super villa! It is so well equipped. The pool is fabulous and the boys were hardly out of it, apart from when they were in ”The Den”!!! The restaurant guide was very useful and we´ve had some lovely meals here.
