The Algarve region
The Algarve is well known for its golf courses and also for the many attractive fishing villages - and hence, of course, for the seafood, which is delicious. The Atlantic location means although very hot in June, July and August, the heat is not overpowering.The climate remains warm in Spring and Autumn, and over winter you get warm days, but the nights are noticably cooler.
Beaches, Golf, tennis, horseriding, sailing. Convenient to visit Spain or go surfing on West Coast which is about an hour away.
Loule area
Capital town of Algarve. Now an interesting mixture of old and new. Historically interesting but now many modern bars, restaurants, supermarkets., luxury shops.

About 25 minutes from Faro Airport; about 2 hours from Seville Airport; and about 3 hours from Lisbon Airport..
