Casa da Paz lives up to its name "House of Peace". It is a beautiful air conditioned villa set in the hills of Loule offering complete privacy and seclusion. There is a private pool and uninterrupted views over the countryside to the sea. The pool can be heated at additional cost if required. It is on a large plot of land in a quiet area only 3kms from the pretty market town of Loule. Outside, a covered dining area leads to the secluded pool, where there is a south facing terrace and a shaded spot under a palm tree. Here, you can lie on the hammock to escape the midday sun!
The garden surrounding the villa is delightful. There are bourgainvilleas, a variety of trees and shrubs providing colour throughout the year.
The villa is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The kitchen is at one end of the open plan living/dining room.There are comfortable leather chairs around a log burning stove and satellite TV. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, balcony and sun room.

The Algarve region

Sandy beaches, sunny skies, white washed villas, fishing boats, golf courses and the scent of freshly grilled sardines are the classic images of the Algarve. The weather is mediterranean with most rain during the winter months. Most of the time the sky is blue and the temperatures are warm. Along the coast are many beautiful beaches some very large, others quiet, in amongst pine forests or small coves. Whether it is watersports, family beaches or beaches to get away from it all, you will find it in the Algarve.
There are many interesting towns with narrow streets to wander around and see the Moorish and Arab influences on the buildings.
Of course, some of the best golf courses are in the Algarve and alot of them are in the area of Loule.
If you like shopping apart from the small quient shops in Loule there are two large shopping centres, both about 20 minutes drive from Loule.
For children there are water parks and Zoo Marine where you can swim with dolphins!

Loule area

Loule still retains its typical Portuguese charm. There are narrow streets to wander around and a pretty pedestrian street with lots of small shops selling locally produced goods such as shoes, tiles, pottery, leather and wicker goods and linen. There are many coffee shops and restaurants that are not touristy. In the middle of the town is the daily recently refurbished market. Here you can buy fruit & veg., fish, meat and bread. On a Saturday it is larger when the local farmers also bring their produce. Also on a Saturday is the gypsie and flower market which is a large tourist attraction.
In February and August Loule has a fantastic carnival which is said to be the best in the Algarve and is well worth seeing. At Christmas the festive lights in Loule are wonderful.
As Loule is central in the Algarve and the road network has improved, you can drive to the west coast or into Spain within an hour, leaving everywhere in the Algarve very accessable.
If you like an active holiday watersports, golf, tennis, cycling, horseriding, go-carting and long walks are all nearby.
The area around the villa is also good for bird watchers. There are details of all these activities in the villa manual.

However, the most common day at Casa da Paz is lying by the pool, soaking up the sun and enjoying the peace and quiet!

How to get there

Casa da Paz is 20 minutes from Faro airport. There are many airlines including British Airways, Easyjet, TAP and Monarch which fly to Faro. Also many of the budjet airlines fly from regional airports.

The villa is very comfortably furnished with all the main rooms enjoying the fantastic view.
The lounge/diner and master bedroom are air conditioned at no extra cost and the 2nd bedroom has a large fan. The high ceilings and tiled floor help in keeping the house cool in the summer months. All the windows are fitted with mosquito nets.
The kitchen is very well equipped and there is an additional fridge in the utility room for drinks.
There are many books, board games, CD,s and DVD,s for your use and if you want to bring your laptop there is internet access.
There is also a Playstation 2. Just bring your favourite games.

Outside you can take in the views from the south facing covered terrace where there is a table and chairs for "alfesco" dining and a Portuguese style BBQ. The pool is 9m x 4.5m and ranges from 1m - 2m in depth and there is an outside shower. There are 4 sun loungers which you can place in the sun or in the shade under the palm tree. Or you could lie in the hammock!
The garden is very large and has a completely enclosed perimeter ensuring privacy and security. The garden is beautiful and is always full of colour. There are also lemon and fig trees as well as several other fruit trees and vines.
The villa has ample parking on its own driveway with outside lighting.

Conditions

Casa da Paz is strictly a non-smoking villa inside.

Booking details: a 30% deposit is required by sterling cheque or bank transfer to confirm the booking.
8 weeks prior to arrival the balance is due along with a returnable damages deposit of £400.
Pool heating if required, should be booked in advance and the £125/week included in the balance payment.
