Louisburgh / Killadoon area
Clare Island is accessible by ferry and only a 10 minute drive away. Connemara with it's rugged scenery and quaint villages, is less than a half an hour away by car. Westport, with it's bustling shops, pubs and restaurants is an interesting town to spend the day in, and Kylemore Abbey, with it's extensive grounds and gardens, is a beautiful place to relax.

Further details indoors: The apartment has been newly remodelled and very tastefully furnished. There are two bedrooms (Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedroom 2 has a double bed and a single bed.) There is a spacious open-plan living/kitchen/dining area.
A balcony off the kitchen allows you to enjoy spectacular views of the Atlantic ocean and Mayo countryside.
Further details outdoors: Although set in a secluded and peaceful part of the countryside, the apartment is attached to the Ocean Lodge Hotel which has a welcoming bar and restaurant. A 5 minute walk down a small country lane brings you to a beautiful strand, perfect for long walks in the healthy sea air. Silver Strand, a popular surf beach is less than a 10 minute drive from the apartment. A mobile business on the beach hires out all the surf equipment you need. Clare Island, home of the famous pirate queen, Granuaile, is accessible by ferry from a small pier, again only a 10 minute drive away.
Westport provides plenty of activity, from historic Westport House with it's extensive grounds, local swimming pool and cinema, to it's fine pubs, shops and restaurants, and is only a 25 minute drive.
Connemara with it's wild rugged scenery is less than half an hour away. Clifden, the capital of Connemara, is a relaxing drive which takes approximately 80 minutes. Along the way, you will pass through Leenane village, Kylemore Abbey, Letterfrack and many other picturesque villages.
