The West Country region

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Lostwithiel

Located in the Fowey river valley is the charming peaceful town of Lostwithiel. Set amidst woods and fields, this peaceful settlement is renowned as a centre for the antiques trade and there are several shops and dealers in the town itself as well as a fine collection of country pubs, restaurants and a thriving farmer's market. Nearby is the National Trust property, Lanhydrock House, in addition to the world famous Eden Project, shipwreck museum and tall ships harbour at Charlestown. The local coastline also makes a fabulous place for a day out, offering long sandy beaches as well as dramatic cliffs and dunes. Centrally placed for a wonderful holiday in Cornwall, the little village of Lostwithiel will leave visitors enchanted by the charms of this mythical region.
