Driftwood apartment is beautifully decorated and equipped in contemporary style with quality fittings. A
Perfect Cornish hideaway with every attention to detail. Ideal for couples. The apartment is celebrating the treasures and dramas of the sea - from vintage shipwreck photographs in natural wooden frames to sea glass, shells and twisted driftwood all found around this fabulous coastline.

Lostwthiel is full of history and character and has wonderful riverside walks. The town boasts history round every corner as Lostwithiel was once the capital of Cornwall. Intriguing antique shops, old pubs, Traditional and inspiring menus can be found in the various restaurants.
There is an informative Museum, Duchy Palace and Restormel castle to explore.
Bakeries, Butcher, Farmers Market and Community Centre - all add up to a lively and friendly town.The scenery is appreciated by local people as well as visitors.
Within easy driving distance is Lanhydrock House and gardens, Screech owl sanctury, Bodminsteam trains, tall ships at Charlestown and a luxurious new Spa in Fowey.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Cornwall's mild climate makes it a perfect all year round holiday destination. Many tropical plants are grown inland and around the coast. Famous gardens to visit are Eden project and Lost gardens of Heligan along with all the National Trust gardens.

Historic fishing villages with narrow streets and tiny cottages can be seen at Polperro and Mevagissey. Daphne du Maurier made Fowey famous - many locations in and around the area inspired the Author.

“Wonderful !” Absolutely beautiful, couldnt fault it. Steve and Jan were so welcoming on our arrival and the hamper was just perfect - it had everything we needed and the cream tea was delicious. They were also helpful throughout our stay but were totally unobtrusive. The appartment is pefectly located to get out and about the area - the country lanes are a bit scary to drive down at night thought ! I would recommend Bedruthan Steps, Tolcarne Bay - and Fistral bay for surfing ! We would love to come back again next year.

Mr and Mrs Sumpter '' Driftwood is an ideal place from which to explore the whole of Cornwall. The apartment is excellent for 2 people and the welcome hamper a delightful gesture by Jan and Steve.
