Home description
Casa Pilar has spectacular views over the lovely spanish town of Los Montesinos. It's only five minutes from restaurants, pubs, and shops (including internet service), but tucked away for seclusion too. The apartment includes a private solarium and (shared) rooftop swimming pool & Jacuzzi. The flat is completely new and furnished with all the modern conveniences: from air conditioning, to a fully fitted kitchen.
The location is excellent: close to both Spanish and English amenities, the lovely guadamar beach, a great spa, several golf courses, and beautiful areas for cycling or walking (such as the lemon groves, where the exquisite scent fills the air).
If you like, you can simply stay at the flat and enjoy the hot sunny days lazing by the pool, or in the solarium, and then walk to town in the evenings for a great meal and drinks with entertainment. There is no great need to leave the area as it has everything to offer, so if you don't feel like driving or hiring a car, just relax, let go and enjoy.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The climate is warm for about 9 months of the year, and the South Costa Blanca promises an amazing 315 days of sunshine a year.
If you feel like visiting a busier area, the exciting town of Torrevieja is only 10 minutes away. It is home to a beautiful marina, shops, restaurants and fun night life to suit all ages and needs.
Should you wish to see other areas by car, you can find the scenic harbour town of Cartaghena, the beach resort of La Manga, and lively town of Alicante about 40 minutes away.
Los Montesinos area
Los Montesinos has plenty to offer, all very near to the apartment. The La Mata salt lakes - visible from the flat – are only a five minute walk where you can soak away your aches & pains. Also nearby is the Laguna Health Club & Spa.
There are excellent restaurants serving English or Spanish cooking, often with great deals on afternoon meals where you can order a 3 course meal and bottle of wine for about 15 Euros. We particularly recommend "Peublo Bravo," a 5 minute walk from the flat where you can savour the most delicious swordfish, and enjoy warm, friendly service. The nightlife is low key and relaxing.
A great music school, which provides lovely classical music, is very nearby. For families there is a waterpark nearby, and regular Spanish fiestas/festivals take place frequently - ask us for details. The Friday market sells Spanish artifacts and clothing, and you will find the people here friendly and welcoming.
About 10 minutes away you can find numerous golf courses, and many award-winning beaches. Be sure to enjoy the beachside restaurants with their excellent local fish dishes and paella.
How to get there
Alicante airport about 40 minutes drive and Murcia is about 30 minutes. We can supply directions if you are driving and the route from either airport is easy.

Cathy and Graham are available to you all through your holiday and can provide you with any help or advice if you need it. You will feel respected and cared for all through your stay and hopefully want to come back again!
