• The Island of Tabarca is a short boat trip away from either Torrevieja or Santa Pola. Beautiful peaceful island, where no traffic is allowed, it is a nature sanctuary and well worth a visit..
• Elche is famous for its Palm trees and leather wear, especially shoes.
• Horse riding is also available within 15 mins drive.
How to get there
• Cheap flights available with Easy Jet, Jet 2, Ryanair, Monarch from all major UK airports to Murcia or Alicante
• Cars can be hired from the airport. you can book them in advance over the internet, try www.carjet.co.uk. There is no local public transport.
• Fly to Alicante. follow A7 to Alicante/Murcia, continue following A7 Murcia, then take A37 Torrevieja/Cartegena. Exit at Los Montesinos and at roundabout, follow signs for Orihuela. Turn right after approx 4km at large sign. 'Entre Naranjos'. Approx travel time 45mins. or
• Fly to Murcia airport. From airport take A37Alicante. Exit 'Los Montesinos' (after 2nd Toll gate) and follow signs for Orihuela. Turn right at large sign 'Entre Naranjos'. Approx travel time 30mins.
