The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Costa Blanca has some of the best beaches in Spain and they are usually very well cared for and safe, there are a large number of ‘blue flag’ beaches (Guardamar is only 10 minutes drive away) and these are normally cleaned every day and will often have life-guards on duty during the busy summer months. Some of the more popular beaches can get very busy during July and August but if you take some time to explore a little, you may find quiet and isolated beaches even during the high season.
Overall the Costa Blanca has much to offer holidaymakers and tourists of all types, fine beaches for sun lovers, ancient towns and cities for culture lovers and wonderful natural parks for nature lovers.
The wonderful climate boasts over 300 days of sunshine each year with very low rainfall. It is the perfect location for a relaxing summer holiday or a well earned winter break.
Sunshine is virtually guaranteed from May to October so it is not necessary to confine visits to the popular months of July and August. In the months of December and January the Costa Blanca normally enjoys some beautiful sunny days, so it is a great place to take a break away from the dismal weather of the UK and other north European countries.
Los Montesinos / La Herrada area
Los Montesinos town is only a 15 minute walk from La Herrada and is surrounded by mile upon mile of orange and lemon groves.
The old Spanish traditions have not been lost and the old mingles nicely with the new giving Los Montesinos a warm and friendly feel. As with all Spanish villages Los Montesinos has its share of fiestas and celebrations, including the Day of Segregation (July 30th), the Virgen de Pilar (October) and the Day of Saint Cecilia (the patron saint of the village), in November which take place in the town square. There are also a variety of restaurants, bars, shops and banks.
Los Montesinos is located on the CV-945 just inland from Torrevieja, it is easily accessed from the AP-7 motorway junctions 751 or 754. Torrevieja offers a wide range of leisure activities and night entertainment including an aqua park, bowling alley, cinema, casino sports complex, also bustling with restaurants, shops and a stunning seafront promenade, beaches and marina.
The La Herrada complex has a big supermarket a few minutes walk from the apartment. An Irish bar, Pizzeria, bazaar, hairdressers have just opened.
There is also an ever-expanding hypermarket complex a 10 minute drive away with Carrefour, Aldi, Lidl, MacDonalds and the new Haberneras shopping centre with its numerous shops and approx 25 restaurants and bars, which have an ultra modern atmosphere and a closing time later than the rest - until 5am. There is also a games and leisure complex - "ozone", with bowling alley, gaming casino and 8 multi-screen cinema complex, which benefits from the best sound and image technology in Europe.
For those who enjoy a round of golf there are many championship courses to choose from including Greenlands (5 minutes drive away), La Finca, Villamartin, Campoamor, Las Ramblas and La Marquesa all within a fifteen minute drive. The Courses at Alicante, Bonalba and La Manga are less than an hours drive.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a NON SMOKING villa, and we would ask that our guests respect this.
Bed linen and towels are provided for use around the pool but please bring your own towels to take to the beach.
ON ARRIVAL
You will be asked to pay a security deposit against breakages/damages of 50 euros, this will be refunded to you at the time of departure after inspection by keyholder.
There is also a surcharge of 50 euros payable to keyholder for a full laundry and cleaning service.
