Home description
Everything you need for a relaxing holiday in a typical Spanish village but with all the amentites and facilities for a more active stay close by. Surrounded by orange groves and close to beaches, shopping, golf and the motorway, Los Montesinos is an ideal base for holidays . The bungalow is situated on the outskirts of the town and is comfortably furnished with the added benefits of off-road parking, hot and cold air conditioning, UK TV, DVD player and a selection of books and DVDs for your enjoyment. The kitchen has a separate drying area and there are two twin bedrooms and a double sofa bed for those extra guests. There is plenty of wardrobe space in the bedrooms and linen and towels are provided. The kitchen is well equipped for home catering and if you choose to eat out there are many excellent local bars and restaurants within walking distance. Outside there is a private terrace and paved garden/parking area and the communal pool and several safe play areas are just around the corner. Markets are held every day in local towns and the large modern shopping centre in Torrevieja is only a few minutes drive away.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The southern Costa Blanca or White Coast as the name means, has an average of 320 days a year of sunshine and maintains an average year round temperature of 24°C. According to the World Health Organisation the area has the "healthiest climate in the world". This is caused by the combination of constant year round warm temperatures and the two huge salt lakes rich in minerals of "Laguna de la Mata" (now a conservation area) and the "Salina de San Miguel" that surround Torrevieja. The natural salt lakes dry the air, therefore reducing humidity and producing a healthy atmosphere beneficial for people who suffer with chest problems, arthritis, rheumatism etc. These lakes are also home to a host of wildlife including large flocks of flamingos.
Los Montesinos / La Herrada area
Surrounded by orange groves & the protected natural park of the salt lakes, Los Montesinos has a good variety of Spanish and English bars, shops & restaurants. The lakes and nearby mountain areas are ideal for walking, cycling or birdwatching. There are 5 golf courses nearby and Torrevieja is less than ten minutes away by car where you will find a large commercial shopping centre, with international restaurants, bowling, and an Aqua Park. There are 17km of blue flag beaches along the coast from Torrevieja to Guardamar and the warm water and therapeutic mud spas of the Mar Menor are worth the 30 minute drive. For shoppers and people-watchers local markets can be found every day in nearby towns and the cities of Alicante, Murcia and Benidorm are all easily accessible by motorway. We would recommend using a car to get about as there is plenty to see and do.
How to get there
Fly either to Alicante or Murcia , Los Montesinos is a 20 / 30 minute drive ,cheap flights are available from all uk airports to Alicante and an increasing amount to Murcia. The bungalow is 10 minutes off the main AP7 motorway making it very accesible . Car hire is available by either pre booking or direct from the airport . Taxis will cost approx 35 / 40 euros each way
